Crusaders get 2nd chance in 1A running
#1
The goals are simple for the cross country programs at St. Henry District High School: Win championships.
The Crusaders racked up the normal allotment of trophies during the 2012 campaign. The boys team won its 11th state title in a row. The girls team swept the conference, regional and state championships. In the 1A state meet, the Crusaders collected their eighth title in the past 10 seasons.
St. Henry coaches expected the task to be mightier this year, as they believed the school would be reclassified upwards to 2A for the fall season because of increasing enrollment in the Erlanger school. They were surprised to be left in 1A in the new alignment announced by the KHSAA in late July.

St Henry is taking a huge sigh of relief now that they do not have to go up against Highlands girls in 2A. Highlands is going to be very tough for at least the next 3 years and favorites to win State Champ in 2A. They return everybody from last years state champ team and have several new girls this year who are going to be better than some of the top 5 girls from last year.
