I’m gonna take West in this one ….it kinda feels like Russell is ready for basketball season.

Obviously, West Carter is playing better ball right now, but for some reason, I feel like Russell will regroup & pull out a tight one at home.

That being said, a West Carter win wouldn't surprise me in the least.

I like Russell

I'm not sure about this one. I am going with Russell by 7 because of the home field. Russell has A lot to work on if they even expect to win the district championship and make it to Round 3 or more.

They seem to have slacked up. I know they have the potential.

Ashland hasn't found a game 10 yet and if they don't find one that means Russell with a win over West Carter will most likely get to host Ashland.

If Russell's defense can come out and play like they did against GC and Ashland then playing at home I think Russell will win in a close game. West Carter has a nice Quarterback in Estepp and RB Crampton who averages approx. 150 yards a game this year. This is where Russell had problems with EC last week with RB Terry running for 214 yards and East Carter had over 300 yards rushing last Friday night. It depends on which Russell defense will show up tonight vs. West Carter. The Biggest problem with East Carter was in the 2nd quarter with 2 turnovers giving East Carter a 12-0 lead at half. Another issue with Russell at times this year how many miss tackles Russell has given up like in the game vs. PLD and last week vs. EC. If Russell's Defense can play like it did against Ashland I can see Russell winning this game at home by a 28-21 score. This could also put Russell in 2nd place if they win since Ashland doesn't play tonight and there RPI is set at .58918 and Russell is .57109 so a .0018 difference. If Russell does pull out the win tonight then if they do take 2nd place in the RPI then Russell will be at home in 1st round of playoff on Nov. 5th. If Russell loses then Russell travels to Ashland on Friday, November 5, 2021. Pretty big game tonight for both teams.
