Several people vote on it, including me, and we all watch A LOT of basketball.
The girls teams are beating each other up right now. Rankings never truly pan out until a few weeks into the season.

The same teams get the same props year in and year out just like in college basketball when UK was rank so high early on and look at them now, not even a top 25 team IMO. With that being said I don’t really like to play the score game because each game presents its own qualities, such as matchups, venues, injuries and play of certain athletes on a given night. Give it another month and these rankings I’m sure will completely change and this list won’t mean squat but as fans and spectators it does make the games more interesting to watch play out.

In my opinion, the 2 best teams in what is considered the WYMT coverage area is South Laurel and Southwestern.

I think some are overlooking Floyd Central. They picked up a big transfer from Johnson Central and are undefeated right now. I’ve seen them twice and they’re very good.

Rockcastle is 7-2 beat a ranked Casey county team on the road. And beat Harlan county by 16 in a Christmas tournament. They are better then most on the list. They got to be at least in top ten

not sure how Clay is 10th, should be higher... and Paintsville receiving several loses within their district lately shouldn't be in top 10 at this point. They need to bounce back and win a few games to re-establish a top ten spot.
