Karma for Notre Dame
#1
If Notre Dame goes undefeated, in the process
beating USC say someinth like 24-17, then I think
I'd say they definitely should go to the BCS title
game ahead of Oregon or K State. But if Oregon
also goes undefeated, the little bump from the
Pac-12 title game might get them in. But might
that not be a little poetic justice?

In the era of first the Bowl Alliance and now the BCS,
the deck has always been stacked too much in
ND's favor, allowing them at least the possibility
of getting bowl berths their record didn't merit.
And in fact, netting 3-4 bowl matchups that
should have gone to more deserving teams.
So would it be a little cosmic payback for them to
get excluded from a title game this season when
they really did deserve it?

Notre Dame wont go undefeated, they play Boston College this week. Since Notre Dame fans love to live in the past, then BC will be just fine lol

I'm not sure if you are saying the Boston College will beat them?

I doubt it, Boston College is one of the worst teams in the ACC this year...horrible defense.

But anyways, it is possible that Notre Dame can go undefeated this season and not make the National Championship game.

They need help, either a Alabama or Oregon loss would likely boosted them into the championship game.

I'm betting that ND will likely get jumped ahead of Oregon even if
the Ducks don't lose, if they beat USC in a low scoring game,
say 24-17, and demonstrate they have a defense that Oregon
does not. Of course a Bama loss would help them get there to,
but WHO is going to beat Bama? LSU is probably the 2nd best
team in the country and they couldn't do it in Baton Rouge.

If Alabama, Notre Dame, Oregon, and K-State all stay undefeated...
-Alabama/Oregon (National Title game) - which would be right...

If Alabama, Notre Dame, and K-State all stay undefeated...
-Alabama/Notre Dame (National Title game)

The only way Notre Dame gets in the National Championship game is if Alabama or Oregon lose a game and ND goes undefeated.

no argument there, but without Cincinnati, Notre Dame doesn't have brian kelly and all those GCL men helping ND win in the 70s and 80s

for the record im a notre dame fan, but i like arguing with other notre dame fans about their history

Notre Dame has been irrelevant for 20 years and there fans need to get there heads out of the sand and come to grips with it.I use to get a paper on monday and if Cowboys and the Golden Domers both had lost I considered it great weekend,And now i pull for the Domers once a year when they play USC.
