Chuke Williams
#1
The Pre-Game ceremony for Chuke and his players at the High School was very touching. Several of his players spoke about Chuke and what he has meant in their life. Several players spoke to Chuke as he sat in a chair surrounded by all the Trophies he had won at Lawrence CO. There was a lot of tears, emotions, and the feel of one Big Family as over 50 players were in attendance. The most important thing is people got a chance to tell Chuke how much they loved him and what he meant even today in their lives. At the game they made a special place for Chuke and his players in the endzone and Chuke along with several LC players were inducted in the LC Football Hall of Fame! Our buddy Chuke could only last until Half-time as he had to go home and rest. We know he was listening as he made the trip home. Chuke our prayers are with you every day, and remember one thing, You will also be #1 here at Lawrence CO.

Very good post. Chuke, you give all of us something to cheer about in LC football. I'm very grateful for the program that you built. Thank you very much and good bless you and your family.

Chuke Williams is a LC Bulldog forever. It was very touching to see him tonight and to see all the LC greats come back and honor him. If LC doesnt rename the stadium after him then they should AT LEAST name the field after this man. He was LC football when LC football was at its prime.

It truley was a awesome event to see him standing there on the field one last time. I am so happy that the Dawgs won in the fashion they did as well. When the crowd gave him an ovation and seeing everyone together one last time was really touching. I hope they name something after him because he did so much for the program. It was a special night in Louisa and one that will be remembered for some time.

Someone needs to check into renaming the stadium after this man or naming the field after him..
