The easiest decision new Pike Central Principal David Rowe had to make in his first few weeks on the job was who should replace him as head basketball coach.
Rowe announced Mark Thompson as the Hawks new coach during a news conference at the school Wednesday. Thompson played for Rowe at John’s Creek High School and has spent the past three seasons as his assistant at Pike Central.
Rowe spent 14 years on the sidelines at Pike Central, amassing a 221-178 record with five district championships and five district runner-up finishes. The Hawks also finished as 15th Region runner-up three times.

Mark Thompson is a great fit for PC at this point....Although David Rowe is a fine coach, I think Mark Thompson will maximize the potental of ALL his players....Good luck PC
