I guess Louisville Trinity didn't make the cut?
#3
Trinity simply hasn't yet played the minimum number of in-state opponents to appear in the rankings.

Once they do, everyone else moves down a notch.

That's nice if you put much in to those ratings I don't but some people do

You can have the top spot in 2A. However your opponents are 4 wins, and 11 losses. Not a killer schedule so far.

Your math is off slightly. However, tell me about how weak the schedule was in December.

Union City 3-1
Hopkinsville 0-4, however gave Caldwell and Christian all they wanted
PT 1-3 with a tough schedule
McCracken 1-3, I'm not sure how they will do. But I think they still win their district in 6a.

I guess Johnson Central is in the same boat.

Ok. I'm off 1 game. I stand corrected 5-11. Still doesn't change the fact, it's been a pretty easy ride so far. You have 6a Graves, which they aren't ranked, you should win pretty easily. You have Corbin, and Caldwell. Again not a killer schedule by any means. But hey, you beat who's in front of you. Just not that many very good teams that far west. I do consider Mayfield very good, and top dog in the far west.
#12
My hope is that you will consider us the top dog in the state when all is said and done. But, we do have a tough class this year.
#13
2A is loaded this year the top four or five teams are really good it's hard to put them in order so I'll say they got it right and let them fight it out in The playoffs

We played them in a scrimmage.... get it right. We just need to add a team from Mexico to the North American High School football champions.

Pikeville should definitely not be in front of Hazard for 1A.

This always intrigues me. We have Cantrell's ratings, which is done by a computer. We have Litkenhous, also done by a computer. So, please tell me, how can 2 different computers get 2 totally different results using the same teams and teams played. This doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Besides that, I was just thinking. These computers don't even use the out of state competition, so, Mayfield might score a lot higher on the rankings if Union City game had been used.

Has to be that they put a high emphasis on different things.
I haven't looked at the break down in a while, but road games, etc. may be more important than the other....

I think when it comes solely to a top 10, unbiased human rankings are the best every time.
#20
I have seen numerous times where the Litkenhous ratings are very accurate after about 6-7 games. They don't get close until that time.
