Kentucky Basketball
#1
I have a lread a lot of post of how the teams are getting worse or better and post about should tubby still be there coach in the future.

Whats your opinnion is kentucky starting to loose its basketball name
#2
I don't know if they can "loose" it.

I don't think one or even two seasons determines how great a program truly is. Kentucky has seen much worse than this, and recovered fine.

The playing field is so even these days, that it's hard for any team to be considered truly a powerhouse year after year.

Kentucky isn't losing it's name. Fans are just building Kentucky up to more than what it is. Yeah, we have the most wins all time and 7 titles, but fans are spoiled and have ridiculous expectations.

Teams go through times like this, and I don't know if Tubby is the man for the future or not. I do however know that we have no clue how this season will end, and that fans are absolutely ridiculous when it concerns expectations at this program. A couple years ago Kentucky was elite, and they will be once again.

Two seasons does not determine a program's status.

But if we keep having seasons like we had the past 2 years then we will loose most wins of all time. North Carolina ( not for sure but i think there 2nd in overall, but correct me if im wrong) are getting closer every year

They're not getting that much closer. Kentucky is still winning over 20 games per year, and seasons like last year come few and far between. Nobody knows that this season will turn out like that. It could or it couldn't, but there's no need to make assumptions just yet.

But the teams that are coming up is going to be very tough for KY to beat. I dont think there going to have 20 wins this season

And that's your opinion. It doesn't mean much to me, as you have showed zero knowledge of college basketball to me as of yet.(no offense) If you're right I'll say good job and eat my crow.

I'm not going to predict anything bold, but I think they will get to 20 wins.

Like I've said in past threads, The talent level has become more equal. Kentucky dosn't get that much intrest from most of the 5 star players every year anymore. But its also hard to find players that really want to give it there all, day in and day out. But I've watched UK basketball for about 12 years, and nothing has really changed. We still have the same records about every season, we still goto the NCAA Tournament, and we still get ranked once, if not throughout the whole season in the coaches poll, and if you look at it we still get pretty far into the tournament.

I like how Tubby makes his players play, but theres times I wished he would let them play to there ability, instead of playing that half-court offense throughout the whole game. UK would be pretty explosive if they played a fast pace game, mostly because they have some high flyers on this team, and some pretty good three point shooters. But IMO the main reason why UK struggles is because they don't play team ball for a full game. Another is they don't have a true Power Foward. Bobby Perry, and Sheray Thomas have a good game every now and then but thats not good enough anymore. Kentucky Basketball is on there feet but, so are about 40 other teams.

Your right i dont know everthing about college basketball as much as some people does, some people on here as probly watched many more years of kentucky play basketball then i have been born.

Is 20 wins such an awesome thing anymore? With the number of games college teams play nowadays 20 win seasons don't mean what they used to. UK was 20 and 13 last year.

Teams play 30 games usually, and 20 wins isn't awesome, but with a hard schedule it's not considered horrible.

*By the way, Kentucky was 22-13 last year.

Well they do have 15 as of now. And they will no doubt get more than 5 wins in the SEC. Although there is only 10 game left, I think they can do it.

I hope they do win 20 games but if they do win 20 games it wont be much over it.

Because I meant no offense by it, just meaning that I hadn't personally seen anything that would convince me of that. How many more arguments are you going to pick with me?
