Trifecta Box 1-2-7 ( chose 7 over Samraat )

Curve would have caught Chrome with extra distance in the Derby. Took a rest at Preakness and will be ready to spoil another Triple Crown.

Will go nuts if the blue collar Chrome wins it!!!

GO CALIFORNIA CHROME!

The Belmont does not favor deep closers. The deep sandy track is hard to make up ground on, unlike Churchill's or Pimilico. Chrome geared down at the finish line of the Derby and Commanding Curve still didn't pass him on the gallop out. The way Chrome is training there is nothing to suggest he won't run a good race. Espinoza has been there so this helps tremendously in not moving to early and waiting to unleash Chrome. If he accelerates like he has in the last two he will be tough. This is Chrome's race to lose. If Commanding Curve is to have a chance to win he is going to have to be much closer to the pace if there is any pace. Social Inclusion may not run and that could hurt the pace scenario. I like Wicked Strong's chances better. I beleive a Derby horse will win. Ride on Curlin rates well. Tonalist is fresh with tons of upside of the newcomers. Nothing is a given in horse racing. The pick fours could be very good Saturday. I singled Chrome in the pick four and five on Preakness day but couldn't beat the chalk and it didn't pay much. I see some opportunities this Saturday. I wouldn't be suprised if one of them doesn't try to steal this one from the front either.

Chrome is breaking me.I need an upset.:HitWall:

I want to see a triple crown winner. There are ten stakes races on the cards and some other opportunities. Medal Count would be my big long shot sleeper in the Belmont. But I hope Chrome makes the history books on this one.

$2.00 Ex-Box 2,4,5,9 Total Costs $24.00
$1.00 Tri-Box 5 over 2,4,9 / 2,4,9,11 Total Costs $9.00

I do agree with him, though. It does seem pretty dumb that you can sit a horse out the first 2 legs and then race him for this one race.

They've been doing it this way for years and it would be very difficult to change the format considering the big players and $$$ involved. It further supports the scope of Affirmed and how great his accomplishment was back in 1978.

Only one "expert" on NBC Broadcast team picked Tonalist and he hit the nail on the head. That horse simply had more left in the tank at the end of the 1.5 mile distance. And it is possible Vasquez should have kept Chrome on the rail. A lot of ways to process disappointment. Even Chromes owners wife was trying to reel her husband in during his interview rant.

Congrats to Cali Chrome and his team. It's always fun to have a potential triple crown winner in the mix. Thank you for a great run.
