#1
After the disappointment of last season it seems Moreheads fortunes are on the up swing. They brought in a very talented recruiting class loaded with not only very talented KY players but some studs from across the nation. This is a very positive step for Tenyer and his recruiting Coordinators should be applauded. I do not have the full list of recruits yet but here is a start with some info about each.

Morehead will have a very crowded QB depth chart if everyone stays.

Austin Gahafer- Soph- 6'0" last seasons starter I would expect to remain starter.
Logan Johnson- Jr- 6'2"
Jack Sherry- Soph- 6'5"
Mitch Giles- RS-FR- 6'3"

Matt Yoho- 6'5"- incoming
Lawson Page- 6'2"- incoming

Kris Jones OL from Collins is not 5'5" 225. The state championship roster was incorrect. He is closer to 6'2" 250.

WR
Nathan Sames 6'0" 190 - Collins
61 receptions for 1003 yards 14 TDs
State Champ

I figured that was incorrect but I could not find his correct info.

I should of Listed Sames as

STATE CHAMP- Game Winning TD reception as time expired.

Page and Watkins were two of the most underrated player in the state....EKU offered Watkins late as a LB, as well as WKU but as a preferred, he opted to choose Morehead st.

Justin Denton could turn our to be a star at the Head. Somewhere I saw he was the leading TD reciever in the state of GA. That's a big accomplishment if it's indeed true.

Very difficult to recruit at a nonscholarship school.

They should be competitive this season. The PFL was senior heavy last season (except Morehead & Valpo). They changed there defense up at the end of the season as well with two freshman LBs. There D should be much improved just from experience in the schemes. I would expect a .500 season or better. As long as they survive there brutal non-conference games of James Madison & Charlotte.

Plus I have not heard if San Diego will still be suspended for Post Season play since they violated PFL rules and had a few players on scholarship.

MLB / FB (also played P/K)
Lawrence Waters- 6'2" 210- Whitfield Academy, GA
Looks like a darn good MLB with 4.7 speed.

RB
Luke Moses- 5'11" 170- Eastern High, KY

Also some enrolled for the spring semester-

MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Tyler Rice, Trevond Reese and Braylyn Cook have joined the Morehead State football program. The student-athletes are already enrolled in school and will be eligible for the 2014 season.

"We're excited about Tyler, Trevond and Braylyn," Head Coach Rob Tenyer said. "These three young men are already in school and will be able to go through spring practice with the rest of our student-athletes."

Rice, a 6-foot-3, 225-pound quarterback, has transferred from Ohio Valley Conference member UT Martin. He will be a redshirt junior in the fall and has two years of eligibility remaining.

Rice played for his father, Ricky, at Wayne County High School (Tenn.). The signal caller completed 369-of-653 attempts for 6,371 yards and 87 touchdowns while helping the Wildcats to a 40-9 record. He also rushed 197 times for 1,010 yards and 34 touchdowns.

Kinda of a funny sidenote to the UT Martin transfer Couple of years ago in the FCS serior bowl in Mtrtle Beach, UT martins qb was the starter and MSU's quarterback Lewis was the backup Alot of the Marist fans started yelling for Lewis in the game and and he led the comback for his team to win. I think the coaches said he played just about all of the 4th quarter. Now he will be working with that kids backup at MSU. Small World Indeed.

Morehead had a Fundraiser tonight with The Phil Simms, I am told they raised close to $150,000. Good way to start Spring play!
#19
Looks like a nice group of recruits. :worthy:

Was told that Logan tore his acl during spring game and will redshirt. Can anyone confirm that?
