Campbell Co. 53 Bishop Brossart 48 (37th)
#1
Junior forward Kaytlin Siegmundt scored a game-high 17 points and pulled down 16 rebounds to lead Campbell County to a 53-48 come-from-behind victory over Bishop Brossart in the 37th District title game . Campbell County has won the district title four out of the last five years, according to coach Mike Murray.

Campbell County, which improved to 20-10 with the win, managed to overcome a one-point halftime deficit thanks to strong defense in the third quarter that was led by junior point guard Taylor Robinson. Robinson recorded two of her game-high five steals on back-to-back plays that she converted for layups and helped pace a 16-10 third-quarter run that gave the Camels the lead for good. Robinson finished with 13 points.

Bishop Brossart (25-7), ranked No. 10 in the final Enquirer coaches’ poll, entered the game winning five of its last six contests, but was unable to translate its recent success into field goals. The Lady Mustangs shot just 23 percent from the floor.

Campbell County will learn its postseason fate on Saturday morning, when the 10th Region Tournament draw is held.
