Paul Laurence Dunbar 10 South Laurel 0 (Boys State)

PLD advances to take on Henry Clay Wednesday. This makes the 5th year in a row that the 16th has been shut out. How long did this one go?

The last 16th region team that I saw that could really compete against the central ky teams was the 2008 Corbin team. Playing teams of that caliber during the regular season, as well as playing virtually year round, makes a difference, which due to travel time is difficult for many of the 16th region teams.

Wow congrats Dunbar

Honestly didn't see that one coming. But the 98 and 03 South teams were both really good in state. If not for a few miscues the 98 team could have won it.

^Was this over in the first or second half?

Heard that Dunbar scored their 10th goal in the last minute of the game. South Laurel has a very good soccer program, unfortunately this is the difference between year round soccer players and three month soccer players.

Congrats Dunbar
