Pretty decent assumptions in those polls but most i do not agree on.
#5
Class 4A 2010 preseason rankings:
1. Boyle County (15-0)Last season Rebels won 6th title in 11 years
2. Bell County (12-2)Dudley Hilton and son John Dudley lead Bobcats
#6
Im amazed Pikeville is ranked.
#7
Overall good rankings.
#8
I would say they are pretty fair or decent rankings. But I couldn't believe that Pike Central was rated that low and not even ranked in one. That team is loaded, I think that they have only two players that goes both ways, and when Coach Chapman tells you they are going to be good I'll take his word for it. He's only said that about a couple of teams the 96 state champs(breathitt) 02 state champs(breathitt), so I would say they are slap loaded from what I hear. That went to the regional finals last year and have ever one back from that team.
#9
Boyle is a tough act to deal with in 4A ball. That is amazing success. 20 titles.
#10
Thanks for posting. Good info.
#11
I agree. Not sure how they earned that spot.
#12
i think cal should be ranked in top 10 in 2a they had a great season better then holy cross , danville and they were ranked but other then that good ranking

Ahh, Boyle only has 6 titles. It is 6 in 11 years though.
#14
3A is a bit varied between the two.

Mason County #1 in LHL and #6 in CJ
Sheldon Clark #8 in LHL and #4 in CJ
Henry County #5 in LHL and # 8 in CJ
#15
Other thoughts:
- Pikeville is severely over-rated in the LHL at #6
- Johnson Central is too low in the CJ at #7 and Pulaski is too high at #5
- Prestonsburg appears to be too high in the CJ at #5
#16

Somerset #3 and #4 pretty much the same in both.

Oh well rankings don't mean much, Somerset wasn't ranked anywhere to start last season. Tilghman wasn't ranked at the end and they were the two 3A finalist last year.

Just want to know why u think Ashland is a number 10. Grant mason supposed to 1 in o e poll. But Ashland has alot to show with speed d and o. They will score and will stop on d. How do u concider top 10. Besides nk teams in 5 a. Plus they r the smallest in 5 a. And next year they drop to 4a. But so does highlands and everybody else. So how does that happens? Highlands can't play with the schools that r dropping to 5a. And they need to drop so they look good

Actually, Highlands should be 3A. They requested to play up in 5A.

That why I love highschool football because it isn't like basketball were u can have 2 great players and the rest medicore and win state. Football u have to be good from top to bottom its hard to have a weakness and win state. That why it is hard to rank this teams because teams can fall a part in the spring and summer or come to together and suprise every one and win state. How can u not love it!

I would have put Lone Oak at #3 if I had voted in March. However, from what I have heard, there are some issues which have arisen in the offense. I would not put them #3 now. Maybe they will work through it, most teams find a way.

Agreed. Does your team play better under the radar, or do they rise to the occasion when expectations are high? Hopefully for us they just win no matter what, Confusedhh:.
