Rights or Privlieges?
#1
Ok so i was listening to George Carlin's last album, It's bad for ya. It Got to the last track called "you have no rights". i listened to it and it got to the part about how rights aren't real because they can be taken away which makes so much sense to me. you can here what he has to say below through the video. he also talks about the interment camps for Japanese Americans for doing nothing besides being Japanese.

What Are Your Thoughts?

I like Carlin and it was a shame he is no longer with us. But, he always puts up good points, rights aren't permanent and the govt. can take them away at any time and it has done such numerous times be it interment camps or wire-tapping, all for "security reasons" when in actuality it is just prejudice and we as a result are the casualties and this just plays into the terrorists hands. If we are the land of the free, than we shouldn't let any law abiding American's rights be taken away for if this happens, we are no longer a democracy but instead a hypocracy.
