People do not want oil or electricity, nor abstract phrases like "resedential services"; what we want is comfortable rooms, light, vehicles that can move us around, food, tables, and other real things. For the last fifty years we should have been moving toward (at light speed) renewable sources of energy that would have given us our real wants. Why didn't we is a sad tale of greed and short-sightedness that an underwater eastern seaboard might not live to tell for too many more generations...
