With the RPI the way it is Douglass will be going back to Trinity next week who they beat 17-14 in the 2nd week of the season.

Some of Douglass supporters thought the team was a down some this year, but they played a killer schedule and I for one am certain if they had not played the schedule they played this year, if it had been like the ones, they were forced to play in past 6 seasons they would not have won that game tonight. I applaud Coach McPeek for not worrying about regular season wins and knowing what his team needs to win big games in the 6A playoffs and showed tonight.

Going into tonight the 4 teams that beat Douglass in the regular season were a combined 43-5.

Male had tied it up somewhere around mid 4Q with a TD and successful PAT. Douglass had a penalty, Male decided to go for 2 and Douglass stuffed the run. Ended up the being the difference. Great game.
