The Lady Cardinals overcome a 31-30 halftime deficit to down homestanding EKU 77-53. The game was the second largest crowd in Alumni Coliseum history.
The Rockcastle County nation was in attendance to support former Lady Rocket and current U of L star Sara Hammond. Hammond finished the game with 6 points and 7 rebounds.
Former Sheldon Clark star Carla Booth led the charge for EKU with a team-high 14 points. Booth went 3 of 6 from 3-point range.

Booth Played a great game. the future looks bright for the lady colonels. They showed a lot of heart tonight. Sara Hammond has made Rockcastle proud. I walked into McBrayer arena and thought I was back in Mt vernon. It was great to see her play again.
