Ge-Lawn Guyn, SG/PG, Ind. Elite Fox: Best player on the floor in his game. He’s that attacking style lead guard that will thrive at Charlotte under Bobby Lutz. BTW, the 49ers had the entire staff in attendance watching him. Very quick into his scoring moves and he’s got plenty of them.

Las Vegas - day three

Scott County's Ge'Lawn Guyn and Indiana Elite-Fox keep playing solid, beating a team from California in the first round of the tournament. I saw much of the first half and like I said last night, Guyn is playing like the best senior in Kentucky

Scott County senior-to-be Ge-Lawn Guyn has had several nice performances in the Adidas 64 tournament in Vegas. Guyn, who plays for the Indiana Elite (Fox), scored 21 points, dished out five assists and pulled down four rebounds Wednesday against the D-Harris Superstars.
On Thursday morning he had 19 points, five assists, four rebounds and four steals against the Colorado Select Blue and on Thursday night he had 14 points, four assists, four rebounds and two steals against the IEBP All Stars.
Guyn is still committed to Charlotte but he has said it's a "soft verbal".

Most Impressive Players of the Day

By: Brett Blevins

Ge'lawn Guyn, 6'2 PG (2010) and UNC-Charlotte commit, led Indiana Elite Fox to a victory over D-Harris Superstars with 21 points. IE Fox may be one of my favorite teams to watch this entire summer. They have no superstars but play great team ball. Guyn is the straw that stirs the drink, proving that he can play the point position exclusively if needed at the next level.

Guyn is Scott County's best player IMO. I've always been impressed with him and his game. He can flat fill it up from anywhere on the floor and always plays hard out there.

Looking forward to seeing him this upcoming season.

AAU coach can't get certified to coach on those events...Ric and JJ are playing at nationals with KY Firebirds.

Scott Co has alot of good players. Manning is outstanding too. Haven't heard much on him in the AAU circuit this summer.

Summer Update: Ge'Lawn Guyn
http://fullcourtpreps.blogspot.com/2009/...-guyn.html
Ge-Lawn Guyn, Indiana Elite, Scott County High, UNC Charlotte
Ge'Lawn Guyn has been playing his summer ball with the Indiana Elite. Earlier in the summer a rash of injuries, including a couple of broken fingers and a hip pointer, had Guyn playing limited minutes and missing games.

Guyn has bounced back with a vengeance over the last week, turning in no less than five stellar performances. Guyn has definitely solidified his place in our top 100 players in the 2010 class , coming in at #75 in our most recent shuffle of the rankings.

-On Wednesday July 22 Guyn posted 21 pts, 5 Asst, and 4 Rebs. In a 51-40 win.
-On July 23 19 Pts, 5 Asst, 4 Rebs, and 4 steals. In a 74-61 win.
-In the late Thursday game Guyn had 14 pts, 4 asst, 4 rebs, and 2 steals. In a 65-59 win.
-On Friday July 24 it was more of the same as Guyn posted 14 pts, 7 asst, 7 rebs, and 2 Steals in a 99-55 win.
- Saturday brought another solid performance Guyn had 14 pts, 8 asst, 7 rebs, and 2 steals in a hard fought 61-57 overtime loss.

He has established himself as one of the top players in the Bluegrass this summer and if you would like to get a look at him play before the season opens he and Scott County will be playing in the annual Fast Lane Classic at Sheldon Clark High School November 28. The field also includes Shelby Valley, Clark County, Trinity, Perry Central, Highlands and the Nelson County girls to name just a few.

Lots of talent in this Classic.
