2025 NFL Draft
#1
Draft is less than 2 weeks away.

What do you think your team is going to do?

No super stud QB this year, lots of DLine talent will go early.  Will Titans trade the #1 pick, will the Browns draft a QB.  Who gets traded during the draft?
#2
If I'm a GM or coach, I'm steering clear of Shedeur Sanders.

Cam Ward seems like the best QB but I don't know that he's ever going to be more than a replacement level starter.

Travis Hunter and Abdul Carter seem like sure things. Jeantty seems like he'll be solid and the RB position seems like it's back on it's way to being valued again, but he carried the ball a lot last season.

Can't really go wrong with a solid offensive lineman, but there's been a lot made of some of Will Campbell's measureables. Georgia defensive players have been really solid overall the past few seasons and are probably going to be a fallback for a few organizations who might be divided.

I'm sure the Browns are working around the clock to figure out how to fk up their pick at #3.

2, but they did LOL

I don't mind the trade, but I'm unsure about the guy the Browns took at #5.

Here's a portion of an ESPN article on who likely won the Browns/Jaguars trade.

"Was it worth it? As fun as it is, I have a hard time saying yes. Research over multiple decades has shown that NFL teams are overconfident in their ability to assess college prospects and that the trade market is inefficient for non-quarterbacks. By our Approximate Value-based draft pick value chart, the Browns gained surplus value worth the equivalent of a top-10 pick, assuming no discount for future picks and that next year's pick is No. 16."

That said, I still think Travis Hunter and Abdul Carter were the two "can't miss" guys in this draft and Jacksonville did just get one of them.

The Bengals are who I’m concerned about, and they did what they pretty much had to do, drafting the edge rusher with the most potential (although his college production wasn’t great) with their first pick. Hopefully they can get some more solid defensive pieces and maybe an O Lineman or two going forward.

On another note, I can’t wait to hear Stephen A. losing his mind today over Shadeur not going in the first round, especially after the Giants picked Jaxson Dart.

what if sanders doesnt get drafted at all. It makes a better story, could be what Deion wanted all along, to pick his home.

Not good for Dart or Sanders that some QB needy teams like the Steelers took a pass on them, especially when the only one willing to take him is the same one that just paid Daniel Jones.

Uh, if no team picks you, you don't get to pick your team. lol

Yes you do, Undrafted Free Agents, happens with tons of players every year. Pre season rosters are littered with UFA players.

The team still has to hire you, you can't just show up and tell them you picked them.

Yes but players can sign with any team they want, in a draft players have no control over what team takes them.

So I think we can agree he wishes he was picked in top 5-10 and getting millions rather than have a few offers as a UFA at $12.40/hr. Geez

Practice squad players make $13K a week in the nfl.  Just for reference.  I think its something like $225K to $400K per year depending on years in the league.

Thats not a bad gig.

Gosh dang plant you're making my head hurt again. I'll take Hunter's salary and let somebody pick me and you can take Sanders's salary and have your choice of 2-3 teams that will pay you 13k/week.
