Both teams coming off losses on Saturday, Ole Miss to Auburn who lost by 10 but this game was back & forth throughout, Auburn had some late window dressing to widen the margin. Of course, we all know Arkansas came into Rupp and handled their business.
Ole Miss is a typical SEC team, they play with a very physical, aggressive style that Kentucky has more than struggled with all season. Don't know the injury status of Butler & Carr, but if they aren't going tomorrow night, liable to be a long night, I said the same thing about Tennessee and look what happened, but this one will be another tough test.
What's everyone's thoughts?

Hope I'm wrong, but I don't have a good feeling about this one.
Can create havoc defensively and we'd struggle even with Butler and Kriisa. Without both and we could be cooked when it comes to the kind of pressure they can put on the ball.
One way coaches like to attack the no middle defense is to penetrate, kick out to high to the opposite wing, then penetrate by attacking the same spot and hoping to catch the defense in a rotation. I don't see us doing much of that.
We're actually going to be willing to take some shots that the no middle typically tries to force, so I think it's wise to expect some curveballs from both benches.
How much the refs let go defensively will play a HUGE role in the outcome of this one.

I watched the Auburn vs Ole Miss game. I thought Ole Miss looked good for the most part. Did not know we played Ole Miss next until this past Saturday. I was like oh crap, when I found out lol
Ole Miss is ranked, so if this seasons taught us anything, we'll be ready for this one, playing at a high level. If Ole Miss wasn't ranked or had a losing record, I'd be even more concerned about this game. As crazy as that sounds lol

Understandable since our Cats are 6-1 against Top 15 opponents and 1-5 against unranked Power Five schools. WEIRD!!!

No easy games and I always nervous going in. I do think the cats rebound in this one after the Arkansas loss. Still gonna miss Butler (I assume he is out). Heard a stat this morning that they are 4-1 after a loss so hopefully they make that 5-1. No need in talking about the defense and rebound issues because that isn't going to change. We just gotta shoot more consistent. And Pope needs to figure out his rotation better with Butler out. Chandler is not the way.

I can see the Cats coming up short in this one.

When I feel good the Cats lose and when I feel bad they win. Glad I feel bad about this one.

I feel bad about this one. Maybe a question of how ugly it gets.
Our best chance is probably hoping that we can hit some big runs that take them out of their element, because I don't think that we want to get out of ours.

Reed Sheppard's planning on this attire before tonight Cats-Rebels game:

Don't worry, Cat fans, Reed's planning on putting the UK logo on his weapon.

Almost game time!
The Cat's should stay the night in Mississippi. Do some night fishing in the Mississippi River, try and catch a few catfish after the game

I'll be pleased if they just snag a win.

Does anyone else suddenly find themselves thinking about the 31pt comeback we had vs LSU around 31 years ago!

With 8:30 remaining, we've forced one turnover.

At least the baseball team is good.

We came back a bit and scored 50+ in the second half.
"Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?"
I started watching towards the end of the first half. We had idk how many straight turnovers. Couldn't hang onto the ball, like we were playing hot potato or something! Ole Miss capitalized on most our turnovers. They couldn't miss, might as well been shooting at a hoop the size of the pacific ocean!
I like the way Ole Miss plays. Just hoping they'd been off tonight. They wasn't! Hat's off to them on the win!

17% are the outright nuts, like those that are asking tonight about the amount of Pope's buyout and beating their gf's because of this funk. There's another 40% that's pretty terribly toxic in their own right. Fans like me that know basketball is really not all that important just enjoy the ride and entertaining moments of a season The journey should be as important, or more important than the necessity of winning a title.

This team won't do anything in March if Lamont Butler doesn't play. With him they've shown they can beat anybody
