The Owsley County Owls have the best fans without a doubt.

No disrespect to Owsley at all they have a nice fan base but they just don't get loud loud like the other schools in the district do

Again, I have to respectfully agree with you here SK. I know that Owsley is the smallest school in the district but, they don't seem to have the passion like the other schools. When Lee goes to Owsley, it seems like our fans take up 3/4 of the stands! Additionally, for district games, I always see big student sections for Estill, Lee, and Powell plus they paint their faces and stand throughout the game and go crazy!

That's just in the last few years, though. Between 1980 to around 2005 no one in the 56th compared to Owsley County's fan base. Especially during the '80's and '90's when the Owls were winning 7 district titles and was runner up in the region twice, while making numerous trips to the regional semifinals. Owsley had huge and loud crowds at their games, both at home and on the road. In many places the Owls' fans outnumbered the host team's fans.
I agree, though, that Owsley's fan size and spirit is not what it used to be.

I think it goes to Estill.
Every game of theirs I have watched there is always a sea of blue.
Love the fight song or whatever they do with the band at their games too..
Gets me pumped up for the game.

Fan and student support is usually in direct proportion to team success. At least during season play. Everyone usually turns out for post season tournament.
