Pretty narrow range of players! Whoever put this together missed the other 75% of the state!

13th-16th region players get NO respect.
03-09-2012, 10:22 PM
From the looks of this, no 1, 2, 8, 9, or 10th get any respect either!

By the numbers...
Of the 20 players....
15 have commited to play D1.
1 player was listed in the top of the 2013 class
4 other players

I just want to see the TOP PLAYERS in the State put on these list(s)...I don't care what REGION the players are in.....I see several other players in the 6th and 7th region who I would have put on this list. There are D1 players on Lou. Male, PRP, St. Xavier, Trinity...ect that have been left of this list. Whoever puts this list together sometimes is afraid to place too many players from one region so they go outside it to place another player from another region who might not be as talented.
Last year, in the Junior/Senior All-Star games at the end of the year a couple of 1st and 2nd team All-State players were left out of these games to let honorable mention All-State players from another region or area of the state.

No Jordan Martin from Harrison County on the pitchers league? The kid won the state championship as a freshman! Players under Coach Whitaker get no respect because of being from a small school.

I mean pitchers list.

Ah Baloney!!!
You been around the block (or should have been) enough to know that these lists are worthless to begin with.

Does anyone know anything about Clinton Hollon and what kind of arm he has? I watched him play when he was younger and he had a live arm but was wild at times.

Hollon is a top 5 national prospecting the 2013 class.
Some have him as #1.
Some have him as #1.

Clint is the real deal. I'm pretty tough when it comes to pitchers because I consider myself to be fairly knowledgable about the subject, and Clint Hollon is the most dominant pitcher that I have laid eyes on at the high school level. I've seen the best this state has to offer and he is the best of all of them. Seriously, this kid PITCHES at a legit 93-95 mph and I've not seen it personally, but supposedly he has topped out at 97 in a showcase in Florida. He and Ryne Combs (also on this list) beat the Boston Red Sox Scout Team/Elite Squad in the WWBA World Series back in October. Hollon went 5.2 innings gave up 0 runs and struck out 11, while only walking one.
I want to say that he is ranked as the #2 overall prospect in the 2013 class but is the #1 pitcher overall in his class. And yes that is a national ranking.
As I said before I'm tough when it comes to evaluating pitchers, and trust me Clinton Hollon is well worth the price of admission.

I haven't seen him throw but if you look at the games in which he pitched last year, the scores were always low.

And if you did a line up, no one would ever pick him out of it. I was shocked to see him in person. Couldn't be more than 5'11-6'0 185ish.

Matthew is very good, you can't go by numbers alone. Apollo always faces some of the best pitching, if he played somewhere else his numbers would be at least 100 pts higher. This goes for most of the kids who play for the best programs in the state, Lex Cath, St. X, PRP.
Who do you think belongs instead of Matthew Johnson? Murray State sure likes him.

Clint is amazing. Mullins says he saw him throw 96 inFlorida and was in awe! The kid is the real deal. Hope to see a lot from this kid
