I did not see every play of all the games but I think this was a pretty well officiated weekend. There was a couple of plays where things looked weird, especially the second Pad Tilghman score(the Head Linesman blew the play), but overall good! So good job Officials!

well i though the Boyle game was awful the worse officiated game that I've seen in a long time...Go REBELS

There were some questionable calls in the Somerset/Tilghman game, the Tilghman receiver stepping out of bounds on the Somerset sideline then running it in for a touchdown for one. However there was nothing that really decided the outcome of the game. Overall a decent job.

After seeing all 6 games, I say the officiating was superb and fair.

HHS-JH game was very nicely called. Saw the refs do some good "intervention" work w/o needless flags on "player control" issues. Outside of that, they were not noticeable...which is the definition of a good called game!

Of the 4 and a half games that I saw, I thought everything looked good. From where I was I couldn't tell on the PT catch and touchdown; and you couldn't tell anything from the replay. Overall I think, everyone did a very good job.

the lone oak - boyle game.1st,lone oak had a CATCH AND A FUMLE called incomplete.2nd,the block in the back call was crap.that was the cleanest hit i've ever seen.other games, couldn't tell ya.

There were several bad calls/no calls in the Boyle vs Lone Oak game. Very one-sided officiating, in favor of Lone Oak.

Of course Boyle fans think they were getting cheated while LO was kicking the crap out of them but the tuned changed a little when they started winning. The block in the back call on the return was one of the easiest calls to make all weekend, even the Boyle fans sitting next to me thought so!

lone oak was a great team ill give them that. But they where holding like mofo's. And its hard to get that called against a passing team...The refs very one sided in that game....

My only complaint was in the 3rd. quarter. Rees was 3 yards out of bounds when he got hit, and no flag thrown. That's when Boyle got the 15 yarder for complaining about the late hit. Luckly it didn't matter because Rees went 70 yards on the pass play a couple of plays later and scored.

I almost forgot about that play. I think the ref made 2 bad calls on that play. If you are not going to throw the late hit(and it was late) then you better eat the coach chewing on you!!!!

I thought the one you mentioned in the other post (late hit not called) and the incomplete pass on one TD drive for Lone Oak (It looked on the video like he caught the ball and advanced a complete step towards the goal line when he was hit and the ball came loose).
All in all, I didn't see it too badly on the video. The block in the back call looked on video like it could have been a clean block but it happens so fast from that angle I can see the flag being thrown.
I never saw the play clock in the video so I really can't comment on the game tying field goal.

Lone Oak did kick us around for three quarters. All I'm saying is the officiating was very one-sided, with some questionable calls and no-calls in favor of Lone Oak. I saw the block in the back, and I thought it was a good call. But there was a pass interference against us that shouldn't have been, many times we got held with no calls, the late hit no call that led to the unsportsmanlike penalty.

I didnt see the late hit, but sometimes if the defender cannot stop his momentum it wont be called. If you are not going to call a debatable call, then you do need to eat that flag, unless the coaches come onto the field, leave the coaches box, or use swear words, all that would warrant an unsportsmanlike penalty.
I dont think the officials purposefully tried to call the game in favor of Lone Oak, but Boyle plays a more physical game then LO and that may be why we are penalized more often.

The Refs is just people, they might miss something. But over all, i think they do a good job.
The poeple that bad about the refs. Is fans of the team that lose. Yea i been to a few games that have alot of no calls, and i been to some that they call everthing.

As to the play in question, it's on the KHSAA video. It wasn't about momentum, the kid was out of bounds by more than a yard or so.
I saw things in the film but you can find something in any film. For the most part a lot of early calls when LO's way but it all balances out usually in the end. Good teams rise up and overcome perceived slights.
