Clintwood is the SW VA equivalent to Bell County in E. KY. They are a single A power who have a long list of state championships. Their Dudley Hilton was a guy named Ralph Cummings who is in Guiness Book of world records for having 7 kids all born on the same date. He is also famous for his writings about the 50 defense and the Wish bone offense.

His legacy is alive and well in that small town. They win this game by as much as they like.

Clintwood is a very good small school program in SW Va. They have been very competitive on the state level in Virginia and equate very well to a team like Prestonsburg or Corbin.

I think SV will be competitive, but Clintwood may be a little too much. Since the game is at SV I'll take Clintwood by 14-20 points.

Clintwood is usually a Southwest Virginia powerhouse. I look for them to take it by at least two touchdowns.

This should be a good game to watch. Has anyone seen Clintwood play this season? This will be Valley's last chance to test themselves before P-burg as they play Morgan Co. at home the next week.

I have not seen Clintwood this year but have a few times, last year was the most recent. Like many have said they are a very, very good program. They do things the right way. They will be multiple on offense and a 4-4 on defense. They will win going away.

i dont no alot about clintwood but u can bet coach norman will have these seniors and the rest of these boys ready to play.this team will step up big when the heat is on.alot exspeirance on this team.look for this D to play like they did in the 1st half at Lawarnce county.and for the offence to run wild in the VALLEY. VALLEY WINS THIS ONE. 35-14

I am studying up on them . I know that they have a powerful running attack. There defense has allowed over 100 yds of rushing in a game only once this year. Looking at there stats they can pass some but that is one thing that they don't want to do. Will be a very good test for Valley going into Prestonsburg. Valley will have to sure up the defense this week. Clintwood averages about 8 penalties a game looking at the stats. We all know that SV can draw the yellow flags as well.

Clintwood has played in the last 2 state title games in single A. They still have a lot of talent and their defense is hard-nosed and they don't lay down for anyone. I am pretty sure Shelby Valley is not going to see 34 points unless it is on the vistor's side . Clintwood wins but good luck.

IMO this will be a very close game. With that being said, I'm gonna go with the wildcats on the win because of the home field advantage.

I know Valley is ready for this game and will be playing at their best. I am going to have to go with them on this one. I think this will be a tough game but will be good for our boys going into the P-burg game. A little competition only makes you better! Will be a good one to watch. :popcorn:
