I've seen the Gransbery kid and she is a player, her name surely should be on the list.Not to take any thing away from any kids but Fraley is the cream of the crop for now. And im sure you could argue another East Carter kid or two seeing how they have beaten both boyd and the verity kids.

Seventh grade will be a battle between East carter and Verity. East has had the upper hand in previous meetings to this point.
Eighth grade - 7th grade returning champs - the favorite has to be Verity especially with the addition of Vanover from RH.
You can't count out Boyd with the Fraley girl as good a shooter as she is!!

Verity should be tough on the 7th and 8th grade teams. Adding Vanover will be a big plus for Verity. She is a good athlete. The future looks bright with all the good young players in the Ashland school system and I think the Kittens have a firm grip on the district for the next several years.

how is boyd 7th even in the conversation ashland and east beat their six grade team everytime last year. its a no brainer.
and didn't verity 8th grade win last year as 7th grade with only 1 bogus loss

Yes , verity 8th won 7th last year and are a lock in my opinion. Your right about boyd there 7thgrade team is limited but with Fraley,Could be a threat and should be a distant 3rd. East and verity will be fun to watch but i think there will be a very evident number one team very early.

McKell may have suffered a setback as I hear a very Key player may have to have Knee surgery. I Hope the best for her.
Dont forget about Lewis Co. ...They have a couple of 6 footers coming in as 7th graders along with a fiesty little point guard.
