First, let me say congrats to Elliott County on a very good quality win. Second, #1 in WV is not the same as #1 in KY. But I do look for Elliott to make some noise in Rupp this year. Would be surprised to see them make the finals or win it though.

No it is not the same as #1 in Kentucky, I agree with that. But South Charleston is a very sound team and would still be top 10 in Kentucky.

Believe me......I'm not saying they will..........................But nothing these kids do suprise me...........They Bring it, not matter the competition! A team has to beat them, cause they aren't gonna beat themselves or lay down for a team if it starts to look bleak!

Neither is Walton GA or HC.

Win or lose these kids will in no way bring a negative light to KY or the mountain regions...........I will gaurantee that!!!!

To be fair, I think Wyoming East is the #1 ranked team in West Virginia. But to beat a top 5 team from any state like this is awesome for Kentucky basketball. Elliot is the real deal, and in my opinion a top 3 team.

They might be now........But no, South Charleston, the team that finished 25 - 2 and returned 4 starters from their runner up team...............Yeah, they are and will end #1 in WVA. Find another way to discount EC!

I wasn't trying to discount Elliot County. You have some real issues when dealing with any truth or criticism being directed at your team. I admitted this was a great win, and that Elliot is top 3 in Kentucky. I was simply saying that Wyoming East was ranked #1 right now from the things I've seen.

I forgot they rank by class in West Virginia. I'll eat some crow. They were #1 pre-season in Class 3A. :igiveup: Smile

The only thing I have a deal with is ppl posting untruths............Post A single link that puts Wyoming east at #1 and I will admit I am wrong. They never have been, and they never will be........At least not this season!

Class 3A is also WV's largest classification. South Charleston returned four starters from last season and was a consensus #1 pick in 3A.
