Dont be so quick to dismiss that list because what you have is a list of 10 blue collar workers. I'll take 10 "blue collars" over 10 "prima donnas" any day of the week.

It all looks good on paper but it all will come down to who works the hardest. If any of those players believe their great cause CatsPause said so and not dedication, they'll be on another list: Most disappointment in the 15th Region. There are alot of talented players in the 15th, it'll all come down to work ethic to prepare for District and Regionals. All CatsPause predictions do is put bullseyes on their backs.

To first argue with this list, where is Matt Clevenger in the top 10 list? Shane Grimm in the top 10 you have to be kidding me. JD is a top 10 player but def not at #3 he is more like 7-8. I respect Catspause for putting people in from different schools to be NICE, but alex hammonds, Jarrod Newman, and also Daniel Harmon have no buisness in the top 10. Where is Dustin May? And Elisha Justice is amazing with his speed and he is only a sophomore he is the number 2 player in the region which is debated because he possibly could be number 1 depending on how the season goes.

IMO Harmon is somewhat overrated. He is a great player that can really move, but thats all i ever see him doing is using his speed to beat the defense down the floor and get a quick layup. But I am NOT dogging him in any way.

AC has a transfer student from West Virginia that nobody knows about named Aaron Crum.....he was second team all-state last year in West Virginia.....i am confident he will establish himself as the regions best shooter

Where do you get off calling the first list a group of 10 "prima donnas"? That's pretty harsh, and it's flat wrong. I've watched several of the guys on that list play, and they most certainly were not "prima donnas."
Again, there are some very talented players on the first list, more so than on the second list, and you would have a hard time convincing me that the second group would win a game between the two.

If he is saying players like Elisha and Jake are primma donnas, he is very wrong, Jake is a power driver when he takes it to the lane, and he can hold his own, and Elisha has miles of heart, in case people haven't already seen that.

Paintsville should not be in front of pikeville.
Pikeville was in the Region finals so they should be #2

I agree with all ur comments but just because pikeville was in the finals does not mean they are the number 2 team in the region.....Shelby Valley is 1 and Slone, Vanhoose, Grimm, and Bundy are a lil bit ahead of pikeville right now

An inside source tells me that Harmon is not even going to play this year for Pikeville. So for this reason he shouldn't be in the top ten. if he played then you might be able to squeeze him in there.

i think Tyler Hunley will be a good player from the 15th region. He has got alot stronger and now when he is bumped..he will drive to the goal effectively.
10-23-2007, 07:30 PM
elisha justice is a quick player, a good ball handler, and a great shooter. he is kind of low. jacob bryant is a fabolous player too. Shelby Valley's top 5 are pretty strong so i would have to say Valley is the top team right now

and what about Paintsville's latest recruit? what's his name, you know the kid that thinks he's a lot better than he really is?
lol...That's ridiculous saying that Paintsville or any team recruits. IDK who the player is, but he chose to come there on his own free will and there was no letters sent home showing interest or game tapes sent to the coaching staff of the Tigers...So where you came up with that is beyond me. Did Shelby Valley get that transfer from JBS??? I had heard something about this several months ago and didn't know if he stayed at JBS or transferred to SV.

Shelby Valley really hasn't got any transfers this year. they basically got what they had last year with some new freshmen.

Either way they will be very competitive and IMO the team to beat in the 15th

If Landon Slone is so good why couldnt he beat little ole magoffin co. in the 57th district championship.

True, but they did win the two regular season meetings...some may say that Paintsville choked, but I think that they probably didn't play good team basketball....until they do and do so on a consistent basis they will just be an above average team instead of a potential very good or great team.
