Elisha Justice might be a little bit low, but it looks pretty good to me.

Did Belfry graduate some players from last year? I agree with Cats Pause 100% but I thought they had two(2) good players. I saw them at the Paintsville vs. Belfry regional game. I don't remeber both but I believ one young man was a Case?
10-09-2007, 11:30 AM
It was Jamie Case he graduated and is playing for Pikeville college...

3 complaints -
No Dustin May?
Elisha is better than everyone except maybe Landon, and you would have to argue with me a while on that.
Belfry 8th? At worst they are 4th.
10-09-2007, 03:10 PM
No way Belfry is 4th. Agree Elisha is way too low. Grimm and Vanhoose too high IMO.
10-09-2007, 03:47 PM
I say drop Hatfield to 5th, and Elisha needs to be in the number 2 spot.
10-09-2007, 04:31 PM
where's Bundy?
and what about Paintsville's latest recruit? what's his name, you know the kid that thinks he's a lot better than he really is?

I think Elisha and Jacob Bryant should be ahead of Vanhoose.

When did CatsPause come out?

OK, now tell me why?
PCC has a new coach and have no one that can score and very little post presence.
JC has a new coach and they have HUGE problems internally - if Starnes, who has been a coach on a State champ team, State runner up, and dome something in the NBA couldn't handle it you think a 26 year old can?
AC were they not SR heavy last year?
BL, new coach and well they are BL...................
10-09-2007, 11:39 PM
I would agree with the top three teams, although I would probably flip Pikeville and Paintsville. After that there is a bit of a dropoff, but I'm not sure Allen Central is #4. I think someone else on here was right, didn't they lose a lot from last year?
As for the players, I also think Hatfield is ranked a bit high and Justice a bit low.

NEXT,
I believe that I must disagree with you. The new coach for Betsy Layne, Brian Hall, will do a great job with Betsy Layne.
Also, regrading to JC, I think the new coach will do a wonderful job! You are way to quick to judge the teams and these coaches. You need to know all the facts, before judging anyone. Mark Starns was not happy at JC and that contributed to the problems that occurred. Age is way over rated and everyone will find out when the season starts.

Elisha Justice is the #1 player in the region IMO. I just think he means more to his team than any of the other players.

Not quick to judge. From all I have read, seen and heard both new coaches are great people and above avg. coaches.
Every year though we hear how well BL is going to be, but when have they panned out. They have YOUNG talent and a NEW coach and very well could be #4 or even #1 by the end of the year, but pre-season, no way.
About JC, if you think Starnes was the problem or Trimble for that matter all I can say is wow.
10-10-2007, 04:37 PM
No, I don't believe either of those guys were the problem, in fact, they are two stand up coaches. However, Coach Starns not wanting to be there in the first place might have had an affect on the program. As I recall, there have been coaches of all ages at JC over the past 40 years........what in the world do they have to lose with someone who is 26??
10-10-2007, 05:05 PM
Alright, this is about the top players and teams in the 15th, not about why JC had an off season.

No offense, but that looks pretty awful compared to his top 10.

The fact that Devin Adams is a Junior and hasnt started practice yet doesn't matter. I just don't think that he should be mentioned as a top player in the 15th.

What would your starting 5 be from the Cats Pause Top 10 players?
Here's mine:
PG - Elisha Justice
SG - Landon Slone
SF - JD Vanhoose
PF - Tim Honaker
C - Ashley Hatfield

Completely agree. I believe that Daniel Harmon is a spot or two too low. He is a fantastic player but I think that Ashley should be one in front of him. Elisha would be close to Daniel's ability even with him being a grade behind. Other than those points it looks pretty good.

I would agree with you, Alfus. That list of players would make a good second team to the list made by Cats Pause, but nothing more. If the players on those two lists played each other, I don't see how that second list would win.
