As for who's better between SV and JBS I don't know. Hopefully the two can meet up sometime to see.

I gave my opinion and why. Yeah you guys went undefeated in the region and won the region but in the big show in Rupp you laid the golden egg and looked scared to death. JBS took a good Warren Central team down to the wire. I dont think there is no comparison. If Valley had played in the 14th region last year they would have had atleast 5 region losses.

Don't talk about takin' Warren to the wire, Valley missed a last second shot to tie the game with them earlier in the season.

Plain and simple JBS will be better next year if Collins or Cox dont leave!

How many SR. did valley loose?
06-10-2007, 01:29 PM
Valley lost 3, none of them started though, top 6 players for Valley come back, and will only have 1 Sr. starter this year.

JBS lost two SR.

I might hate Valley but I think they will definetly be better than JBS...

Did them two seniors play a single minute all season? If so, they mattered.

I wouldn't call losing by 18 points taking someone 'down to the wire' (Warren won 71-53). I will grant that it was a close game for one half, but JBS was not close at all near the end.
If you are comparing just games against Warren Central, Valley wins that one, since they only lost by 3. That said, I do think JBS is a slightly better team, but it's close. Would be nice to see them settle it on the court.

Common opponents' games (from http://www.KHSAA.org):
JBS---------------Opp.-----------Valley
W, 89-53-------P'Burg-------W, 107-44
W, 79-72-------Buckhorn----W, 71-59
W, 59-58-------Bell Co.------W, 61-58
W, 64-55-------Hazard-------L, 48-56
L, 35-51
W, 51-46
W, 77-51-------Pineville------W, 70-63
W, 70-46-------Jenkins-------W, 68-56
W, 68-48
W, 58-56
L, 53-71------Warren Cen.----L, 60-63
Overall, looks pretty even, except that Valley lost their only game to Hazard while JBS went 2-1 against them. Despite the disparity in the margin of losses to Warren Central, you would have to give the slight edge to JBS by virtue of their showing against Hazard.

I see a difference in the Bell Co. game, Valley beat them when they had Slusher, and JBS barely won the game against them when Slusher was gone.

JBS should win the win All A Championship next year.

From what I hear JBS may be losing some kids that are going to transfer. I heard that they were at SV looking not to long ago. So I am going with SV.

I could very easily see SV beating JBS. I gave a slight edge to JBS, but not by much. If they played 10 times, Valley would probably win 4 or 5 of them. I don't see how anyone could say that JBS would be a lock to win, when the games against common opponents show very little difference between the two (see my earlier post).
