Mayfield 48 Caldwell County 21
#1
Final.

Mayfield definitely came out ready to play, TOTALLY dominated, especially on defense till they pulled the starters after first drive of the second half which initiated the running clock. All but 7 points Caldwell scored was in the JV. Very chippy game with a lot of mouthing in both sides of the ball

Looks like the Cardinals have survived the bump in the road and are hitting their stride at the right time.

As much as I appreciate the compliment, my comment was meant to point out its not how you start but how you finish.
Mayfield lost their long-time coach and many skill players graduated, not many can turn that into a seamless transition.

That being said, Mayfields' long-term plan is building momentum again, and I figure they will find a way to win the next one.
