Boyle County 47 Letcher County Central 6
#1
Final.
#2
Letcher Came to Play It was Closer than the Score Indicates

Boyle came out flat, Letcher outplayed them the first quarter and a half, hats off to Letcher they came to play.

Letcher was a pretty good team.  Has some very nice players but wasn't able to continued to play with Boyle.  41-6 at the half. Boyle had over 400 yards of offense at the halftime.  Brown had a 97 yard TD run and a 73 yard run on his last 2 carries.
Second half JV punched in 6 more to make the final 47-6

Boyle's 1st string was out at halftime. D Brown had 12 carries for 229 yards 2tds all in the first half. Quisenberry had one rushing td and one receiving td. The driver brothers had the other tds in the first half. LCC plays hard and left some points on the field in the first half. Coach Haddix was livid with his team in the first half.

Well last week they got to a running clock at the 6 minute mark of the first quarter.

Boyle will come out sharp next week and put it away early. Hats off the LCC for coming to play.

Boyle gave up some passing yards in the first quarter or so. That might be a problem for them next week.

The weather was cold, the crowd was down, an just was a dreary night from the get go. Expecting all that to change now as we get into the 3rd. round of the playoffs and the games become more competitive. Looking forward to watching Covington Catholic come to Rebel Stadium.

Exactly what the Rebels needed. Things had come too easy in the last few games other than FD. Starters got to play a half rather than one quarter. Boyle should improve off this reality check. CC will come in with revenge on their mind from last years championship game. I am sure the Rebs will be ready. This is what you play all year for. I am sure Coach Haddix will have their full attention this week in practice.

If CCs offense could only come up with 14 points on a JC defense (no offense, but they are a great offensive team, average D), I don’t see them fairing to well this week against speed all around them.

I guarantee Coach Haddix will have there attention Sunday at practice. He was not a happy camper even after the win. Boyle County got dominated up front a few times in the first half.

Letcher just proved again that their team is an up and coming "young gun" team with a bright future...

Boyle Co is about as impressive team that you will see on the high school level. Letcher played pretty good and was still down 41 -6 at the half. I’m so glad Letcher is moving down to 3A next season there going to be a lot more competitive there.

I've been really impressed with what Letcher has going on. Good things ahead for them in 3A.
