North Laurel at Southwestern 11/15

North Laurel vs Southwestern. Thoughts?

I wouldn't bet against North Laurel, after the past few weeks. They are playing their best ball
right now. They made a pivotal change at QB, which has paid off for them big time. The kid
playing there now can do it all and did this past Friday against Montgomery County. We heard
on the Montgomery County radio station as we were leaving he was Player Of The Game. North's
line going both ways has improved since the first few games this season. They have two talented
RB's and 2 Receiver's that can be dangerous, especially the Junior. North Laurel has a very
good kicker, missed one Fri. which was unusual for him. I'm not counting them out of this game
at all.

SW in a close one

Southwestern by 2 TDs, possibly more. North isn’t playing their best ball now that they’ve made changes, they just haven’t played a team that could stop their very predictable run game in a few weeks. Southwestern held the new running QB and the team to just over 3yds per carry last time they played even though NL had a legitimate passing threat that accounted for twice as many passing yards as they had rushing yds. Southwestern has the better line and they have the personnel to stop the throw it up and pray jump ball to their lone WR.
I could be wrong and if so then NL is playing their best ball at the right time, we will see in a couple days.

Actually, Wayne County game at Wayne County was a big win for North Laurel. I was impressed to see the outcome knowing how difficult it is to win on the road and especially at Wayne County. This Southwestern matchup for North has been the key game in the district for a few years because Southwestern has been so dominate. It won't be easy to win on the road at Southwestern but going off the results of the Wayne County game, and looking at the last matchup that Southwestern and North played, then I would have to say it should be another close game. North puts together another offensive game like they did against Wayne County, then a win is possible.

Seeing this projected score being so close, its anyone's ballgame. No doubt advantage home team.

Just one point....that Sophmore QB for NL now didn't start playing that position until after the South Laurel game.
He was not QB in the SW game.
