I’m say toss up

I think it will take a great effort for LC to win this one on log mountain but they can i hope they do but if I was gambling I would take Bell
#5
LC has a great team, but they will have to score 40 to win at least. They will not keep bell county out of the endzone, and will have to rely on that offense to keep the ball out of the bobcats hands.

LC has athletes on offense to score, but this bell county defense isn’t the open door it was last year. When the starters are in, they don’t allow many points. Since boyd county, they have been lockdown especially in the redzone. Should have a few shut outs if they were able to play after halftime, which they haven’t done since rock. LC will be very competitive, but i just think this is one of those games where it doesn’t show on the scoreboard.

42-21 Bell

If both teams show up to play, this one is going to be a classic.
#7
Both teams have been playing great ball. Both teams with not the toughest of schedules but seem to match up well!! Bell being the more consistent team this year
If the Dawgs can focus and treat it how they've been doing for a couple weeks, i could see a great game!! But if Lc is off then it's gonna be a long night!!
Bells Defense looks to be their cream this year. Lawrence defense has seemed to step up in big games!
If lc controls the clock and Can capitalize on a couple bit turnovers, they could pull out a good win.
Fetherolf should have a great game and want to advance into mid november!!
Go Dawgs

Lawerence County with the big win. Bells been over rated all year imo. Good run stopping defense for Bell but they look lost trying to play defense against a team with good athletes and a good QB that can throw it.
#9
Just a stepping stone game for the Bobcats. The Old Ball Coach will be ready and waiting !
#10
Bobcats by 2-3 scores.
#11
I think the travel and coaching will be the difference in this one. LC puts a fight for a while….but Dudley and Bell Co live to fight another week. If LC does win….this would go down as one of the biggest upsets in LC football history IMO. Good luck.
#12
Last time I was there to broadcast, they put us on the away bleachers, I sure hope it’s different now.

Big Grin

Bobcats 38- Bulldogs 13

Got to take Bell in this one. LC has some playmakers, but Bell co is bell co with Dudley.

I was a senior in 2010.
Lawrence county went 11-0. We had some dang good athletes!!! Traveled to Bell County to play the regional championship, Bell county left us at 41-0
It was a great year ended in a really bad fashion

Pulling for Lawrence
#17
Lawrence isn’t playing their best ball of the season on both sides of the ball, playing complimentary football. It will be a challenge on Friday but a challenge they willingly accept and are looking forward to. Dawgs are hungry! I know Bell will be ready. Should be a dandy of a ball game, hoping for a clean, spirited, hard hitting game.

I remember both the 09 and 10 teams coming to bell high and getting beat 41-0 and 61-7, but those bell county defenses were elite. 09 and 10 bell county were one play away from 3 straight state championships, this bell county team isn’t quite that. Is LC better or worse now than then?
#19
It’s hard to compare those teams with the teams now because they are different. I think the team has more athletes on the field on both sides of the ball. The team back then was built to run and ran into the strength of Bell which was the run defense.

It wasn't a post for comparison. Although 2010 was one of bells greatest eras imo. I'd have to say LC had a ton of talent on the field also, Larry West, Chris Kazee, Ben Preston, Turner obrian, hunter James, Seth rigsby, just to name a few. So they sure had some dawgs on both sides of the ball!!
#21
I didn’t say it was a post for comparison, just stating it’s hard to compare teams from years apart. That team that went to Bell in 2009-10 was a very good team, the problem was that the schedule was very watered down and it showed itself as a result.

I meant to say “Lawrence is”

Yea that post was for gridiron cause he wanted some comparison. But obviously noone can really give that. Because like you said, coach Sammons come in and watered down the schedule so bad and we didn't play no elite teams to really get us ready back then!!  But great keeping us updated. As In athletes, they are in the mix of a really great era right now!! Just comes down to who wants it more!

By the way, Hoping to have some of our players fired up like 35 was for Clay the other day and that would be a great momentum for the game friday!!

I mean the only time i’ve seen LC in person was those games since louisa is quite the trip, and the feeling from the bell county faithful has changed when they look towards the team coming on friday night. I don’t know anyone that doesn’t expect a slobber knocker. I didn’t mean for it to be a shot for comparison I was just seeing if anyone who knows LC much better than me thought this was a better crew than those teams. I’ve seen posts across the last two years saying this bunch is for real and could knock off belfry. I was just curious cause I fully respect the bunch coming in on friday when you look at how they have done the past 2 seasons and improve game after game.

Unless it’s a running clock friday, then maybe it was a shot.

It should be a slobber knocker, both teams with very good offenses. Both teams are well coached and will give great effort. The difference will be turnovers, blocking and tackling like it is in any other game. The team that does those better will win. Lawrence does have a lot of athletes, some that are out with injury but the group they are playing has been consistent for a few weeks and it’s shown. These are two traditionally strong programs, and both are fun to watch.

BBall prolly starts everywhere monday! Lol
Although they do have a mighty task on their hands, i believe the game could still be winnable. Depending on if the Bulldogs can play another honest clean game with minimal mistakes. No doubt bell has the run power to score!! But Lawrence is going to have to step up big with their key players
#27
Hoping alot of LC fans can make it out to the game.
They need us to show up and show out!! Be loud, be proud!!!
Lawrence county will feed off of the crowd behind them this week!!! We need this big W

Bell Co by 2 Tds or more.
Dudley at Log Mountain in the playoffs means basketball starts Monday for Lawerence Co.

Basketball started before the football playoffs even started in a lot of places. AND My comment is a commonly used and understood (by most) expression meaning that basketball season starts for the football players!!! Lol
