East Jessamine 34 Danville 7
#1
Danville runs its losing streak to 13 games since the end of the 2022 season.

Hard to see them winning a game over the next few weeks against Pulaski and Lincoln.

I’m not being mean, but if Danville loses to this team…..will they get a win this year?

Supposedly, their MS team is loaded up with sons of BLUE GHOST dads! Will they stay in blue long enough to right the ship or all end rebelling in black and gold?

The Ads had some good young talent in this game but not enough of it. If Parks goes winless again, you have to make a change IMO. Another coaching search wouldn't be great but you can't have someone go 0-22 at a program like Danville, especially since the team has lost good players to Boyle and Mercer the last 2 years. Also notable that the super and principal that signed off on the Parks hire are no longer in the district. And the new principal is an alum and in the Athletic Hall of Fame.

But I'm still hopeful the Ads will find something that works this year. You have to have hope as a fan or you will go nuts.

They’re not the East Jessamine from years past. Definitely better coached, more variety to their at calling on both sides of the ball. And frankly, Danvilles problem isn’t talent so much as horrible attitudes and lack of discipline.

I was at the game. Decided to go see this bowl game since I had never been despite being just down the road.  Several unsportsmanlike penalties on Danville. Perhaps their coach should have focused on his own team after a 0-11 season last year than running his mouth to the media about how they were going to use their athleticism to “make their big boys run”. I was expecting more when I read about those comments. East Jessamine was by far the more physical. Their big boys did run. Mostly thru the Danville D. Several just off the fingertips passes away from getting running clocked. Looked plenty fast enough to me. ??‍♂️

It's one game against a bad team, but I do think East Jess needed some new blood at the helm.

Bate Middle had some nice looking players in the game that I saw them play against Somerset Meece Middle.  Meece beat them pretty bad, 28-6 I think.  But they had some good looking athletes.

Yes I think Coach Bowlin was there for over a decade.

To be fair, East Jess was a bad team the last 3 years too. They would’ve held Danville scoreless had it not been for that garbage time TD against a mostly JV defense. FWIW I do think East has to prove themselves still, but that win certainly helped them out morale wise
