Boyle County vs LCA (at Western Kentucky University) 8/24
#1
Boyle County vs LCA. Game is on Saturday at Western Kentucky University. Thoughts?
#2
No secret here as last year's best team in Kentucky brought most the team back for another run at the Class 4A State Championship. Boyle is going for the 5th title in a row. LCA has lost some talent at key positions. These two teams played a thriller last season, and it was a scoring fest. I don't look for the same type of game this season. I think Boyle is still fine tuning the offense after the graduation of last year's QB Sage Dawson. I think Boyle is still one of the top 3 teams in the state. Could be the best. But time will tell.

Going with Boyle but hope LCA upsets them

Boyle in a lopsided victory.

Goodnight LCA

Boyle County 49
LCA 14

Boyle running clock.

Boyle but I’m not convinced if the running clock. I’m not saying it won’t happen but Boyle has some new players in key roles that may take a few games to settle in. If Boyle does put the running clock on LCA then look out everyone in 4A because Boyle is everything advertised and more.

I don’t expect a running clock I do think Boyle wins but know matter the rankings or expectations of either team almost every time they play it’s a very competitive game, I think Boyle wins by 2-3 scores but like Fansville said Boyle has a few players that need to settle into new positions.

Boyle by 3 scores
#10
Boyle by 4 scores, but somewhat competitive throughout. The real game tests for the new faces at boyle co are games 2 and 3.
#11
Boyle. Just the better team this year. I don’t think it’s a running clock.
#12
All the talk about Boyle having to get new players some experience and some time but I think LCA lost just as much of their team as Boyle did so that goes both ways but like I said before Boyle wins but I still am for the underdog

Does anyone know if this game will be streamed online?

I don't know the answer, but I hope it is. If I see something. I'll post the info.

Haddix will work the new QB's in slowly and have the playmakers do their thing. I personally think Boyle's defense will be the difference in this game. I like Boyle 35-14.

I'm curious about this game. I don't doubt the outcome as I think Boyle is going to win, but I am curious to see how competitive LCA plays. With Boyle going for 5 consecutive, this game will be a good bellwether for how the season should go.
#19
Boyle wins but I think it will be competitive for a while. Boyle has basically everyone back except for Bodner, Dawson and Crowe. You add 6'7 Driver at D-end who is a special athlete and have Kelly on the Dline with him with the other Driver brother at LB- Boyle defense is probably faster and better. I don't look for Haddix to throw the ball much with his new QB and having a talented oline that he has. Boyle never looks the part up front on size, but man are they fundamentally sound. Boyle 35-7

Haddix will be Haddix, and Boyle will be Boyle. Too much speed for LCA to handle. Boyle wins 48-14.
#21
I think the Rebels win 28-21.
#22
If Boyle gives up 21 to LCA, I will be the most surprised person in the stadium other than Coach Haddix.
#23
One thing I always notice with any team is, they tend to give up more points the first couple games and then tighten down game by game the rest of the season. Has LCA replaced the weapons on offense they had last year?  Last years game was the best offensive game I watched all year. Boom every offensive sequence for both teams.

Boyle Co by double digits.
#25
This game has been closer than I expected on a regular basis over the last few years. With that said, in 2024, I think Boyle Co is going to deliver a smackdown, 3+ TD victory

Boyle rolls.
