Highlands vs Lexington Catholic on Friday. Thoughts?

Highlands has a good team coming back. Lexington Catholic has a new coach. I will be pulling against Highlands, as I always will, but I think that the Bluebirds will be too much for the Knights this early in the season.

I think Highlands will have to come out of the gate strong. I am curious as to how this Lexington Catholic team will look like. They should be a in good hands with the St X assistant coach taking the team over. I think the Lexington Catholic QB and some receivers are back so it shouldn't take to much to get this team going. I just think they have a tuff schedule and may be 5/5 by the end of the regular season. But come playoffs, they will be a contender.

Lots of folks on the other site seem to be doating on Highlands. It could all be true, but I remember similar talk to begin last season and they laid a complete egg against South Warren in the opening game. However, they went on to have a great season even after losing to Simon Kenton the next week. I'm hesitant to believe either wins by more than 10 points but if all the hype is valid then Highlands could do it. Very good opening night matchup.

Exactly why I said lex cath we heard all kinds of talk last year about their talent and they were running for nky after south Warren put a beat down on them I think people are not understanding the talent lex cath has

Lex Cath has some talent, but I'm pretty sure they lost some to Woodford Co and LCA. I do not think they will be as good as last year. There QB is one tuff little guy hard to bottle up.

I think Highlands wins by a couple of scores.

Pulling for Lex Cath, been hearing Highlands starting to get talent back on the sideline. Still I’ll take the Knights by 3 at home…

Here is what I know about Lexington Cath. They have a heck of a transfer receiver who is long, tall and can go get the ball. They have 4 of the 5 returning starter at O-line back, they have their all-city and district and team leading tackler back. QB and a RB that ran for 500plus yrds as a back up. LC's low will be their defense. They lost all their LBs and 1 DB transferred out, but they have a nice transfer at CB.

Good to hear on Lex Cath! On Highlands, went to one of their games last year, I was hearing about all this speed and talent that they had, left very unimpressed on the speed and talent aspect. QB has a cannon and is hard to tackle but lost there go to guy (Noon) to graduation. Toss up game to me.

If Highlands plays their best athletes both ways. It could be a blow out
