I am going to say 5-7 and most likely 4-8. I think Hart would beat Russell but not sure they could have beat Bourbon who was a better team than Campbellsville and Casey County.

To answer your serious question, Belfry was a team composed of
primarily Freshman and Sophomores playing a grueling schedule. Despite taking their lumps Belfry defeated Louisville Central, a team that probably would have beaten Hart County by 4 TDs.

jackson wasik at Lexington Cath will go 8-2 with losses to corbin and Boyle, but should statistically and strength of schedule be the 3A mvp this year. Cole Hodge may beat him out but the schedules don’t compete at all and they will most likely have similar stats.

Agreed, I just felt like Belfry wasn’t any better than Hart or Bell to be ranked above them and that high. For the record, they didn’t just lose in the second round, they got destroyed by Ashland. That must be one heck of a fullback if he could change the outcome of a 48-7 loss. I have nothing against Belfry or for Hart co, I’m just not a fan boy and don’t see Belfry as a top 10 team at this point. To be fair, I am not sure Belfry is remotely close to a CAL or LexCath entering the season.

With that said, Belfry was a bruised and bloody mess at the end of last season. Even Haywood was banged up after that Johnson Central game and they were a team leaking confidence. Having a healthy Dre Young wouldn't have changed much against Ashland. 

I think Bell County (who Ashland also handled with relative ease) has a case, but Hart County has a lot to prove before they can get the benefit of a doubt over a team who won a title two years ago and is returning as much experience as they are.

Belfry starts the season at number 4 but I fully expect Haywood to do the same thing he's done for over 40 years; Improve his team week after week throughout the season while fighting with a fairly tough schedule!! Battle hardened come the playoffs is what Belfry will be!! If they get bounced in the first round or win it all, the pirates will be a damn hard team to play come November!!

I will never bet against a coach that has coached in 14 State Championships. Belfry will be hard to handle come playoff time. I never count the old coach out.

I am no Hart County fan... Being from the area I can tell you all I've heard from them and Glasgow is how great they are supposed to be... Neither one of them are actually worth a hoot. As soon as they play someone with a pulse they'll be railroaded. Same ole same ole when it comes to 3A WKY football. Outside of PT (who isnt even in 3A anymore)  playing CAL close, which I guess gets some sort of participation award around here, it'll be hard to ever take a 3A team from this area seriously until someone from this side of the state actually DOES something.

jackson wasik at Lexington Cath will go 8-2 with losses to corbin and Boyle, but should statistically and strength of schedule be the 3A mvp this year. Cole Hodge may beat him out but the schedules don’t compete at all and they will most likely have similar stats.

4-5 losses for Lex Cath would not be surprising given their schedule with Highlands, Corbin, Madison Central, LCA, Boyle County, Scott County. Their regular season schedule should have them prepared to make a deep run in the 3A playoffs.

100% agree, but more like 6-4, at best 7-3. I definitely see a lost to Boyle Co, Corbin, LCA also maybe to Scott Co or Highlands.
