If Johnson Central stays healthy, I predict a 9-1 or 10-0 regular season. Road games at Ironton and Corbin should be their most challenging games but both games should be very winnable. I will be shocked if JC does not lead all classes in rushing yardage by a wider margin than last season and they moved the ball well against both Ironton and Corbin behind an offensive line that should benefit from time in the weight room and on a wrestling mat.

Pikeville will be as good or better than Corbin and Ironton by playoffs...don't know how good early but will have as good an offense as anyone around. Looking forward to the PCB, will benefit both squads.

I am not saying that JC will be heavy favorites against Pikeville and Corbin, but unless JC fumbles a lot more often than the team did last season, it is going to take a lot of offense to beat the Golden Eagles and JC should be pretty strong defensively. 

Zach McCoart should be the top running back in eastern Kentucky next season and he is coming off a third-place finish in the 190 pound weight class in the state wrestling tournament with a record of 52-2. If Carter Conley returns to his early season form from last season, then he may be the second best running back in eastern Kentucky. It is going to be interesting to see who lines up at fullback this season but JC has a lot of options. Sophomore to be Logan Music should contribute heavily to JC's offense, it's just a question of where he will line up and how the carries are distributed among all of the backs. Another option will be to give sophomore Dalton Matney, the state wrestling runner-up in the 165 pound class, a bigger role on offense.

Losing Chase Price to graduation will leave some big shoes to fill, but Johnson Central returns some big feet.
