Casey 22 Paducah Tilghman 56
#1
Game was 14-6 about the middle of the 2nd quarter and Tilghman reeled off about 42 points. Casey scored some "feel good" touchdowns against Tilghman's 2nd team in the 4th. Tilghman is an incredibly talented and well coached ball team. I think some of us Casey guys are going to go watch them against CAL and will be cheering for them to win state. I would rather say I got put out by the best if I'm getting beat. Casey did leave 2 great players on the sideline for this ball game, but it would not have made up a 40+ point difference, would have just been a closer lose. Congrats to Tilghman, good people, coaches and players.

PT is getting healthy. However, CAL is waiting. Gonna be hard to pull this one off.

PT is very talented and they had so much speed the Rebels just was simply out matched, especially Casey's defense. Casey did find some success with their offense as they had a little over 200 yards the first half, but turnovers was a killer as Casey threw 3 interceptions and also turned the ball over on downs at their own 36 yard line along with other short field situations. I don't believe it would have changed the outcome, but it may have looked a little better on the scoreboard.

I do want to recognize QB Ethan Willoughby who threw for 2,467 yards, 29 touchdowns, ran for 1,168 yards and 17 touchdowns, plus he kicked 11/14 extra points the last 5 games.

Tilghman has as much talent as practically anyone in 1A-3A at the very least.   Saw it on display last year in the championship game.  Whether or not they can reel in the egos and the outside noise and just play football will be the tell tale.

I wish Casey had of got healthy as well. STill would have been tough, but in 3A, 1 stud is a big deal, and 2 studs is a huge deal, more than that is playoff death.

When I first saw it, I thought it said 22-26. About to say congrats to Casey because PT is a tough team. Still congratulations to you guys. Made to the 2nd rd, and a lot further than a lot of teams.

I know they scored 56 but several just big plays where I don't know what in hell we were doing. However what is most impressive to me is their defense. Although they can't lock receivers down like your guys 2017 team. That was the best secondary I've ever seen.

Casey scored one TD against PT's starters. If you had seen Tilghman play some earlier games - you would have not be so complimentary of the D. This team does not yet have the receivers that they had last year. This years team is like a Chameleon. You never know what team shows up to play. I heard nothing but compliments on the Casey fans and sportsmanship.

Hope your "good side" shows up for CAL and you guys put the beatdown on them. I think so many have already "crowned" CAL as state champ. As Lee Corso would say, "not so fast my friend". Good luck Tilghman!

Congrats on a great season Casey County. Truly something to build off for the future of the program. I'm sure the players, coaches, students, and community will always remember this ride.

Congratulations to the boys from Liberty on a great season, Willoughby had a tremendous year, had the opportunity to watch those guys a few times through the years, but this year it seemed like a lot of community got behind the Stonebraker led Rebels.
