Open Job: Lincoln County
#31
Not sure who the favorite for this is but if Lincoln County cares about football at all, they need to get this right. This program has shown it can be pretty good at times, and it has shown it can be below mediocre at times. The choice is theirs.
#32
I'm hearing Craig Foley is the front runner.
#33
Craig Foley, long time Frankfort coach? I've heard he's a top notch guy. But does 1A football translate to 4A? His record is extremely competitive, but as of late, not very good for all things considered. That's an interesting front-runner.
#34
Is Josh Jaggers not in the running anymore?
#35
Yes jaggers is still in the running. I was told Craig Foley has strong ties to lincoln. I don't know what those ties are. Either one of these 2 gentlemen would be a good hire.

Lincoln county doesn’t care to be good at anything. They just hire people that are family or friends of administration or people that work at the board office. That’s how they ruined their little league program, and that’s why no facilities have been upgraded in 20 plus years. They claim the money isn’t there for field upgrades, facility upgrades, or even fixing gutters on the leaking roofs that cause kids to share lockers when it rains, yet there is money to create jobs at the board where they make more than teachers to do nothing.  It’s a town of good old buddy and take care of your family instead of hiring the right people for the job. It’s one of the poorest ran school districts in the state, and will continue to be that way until the people at the top are changed.

Cooper and Roger's was running the weight room the last three weeks and shut it down today. Neither of them got a interview. For what I have been told lincoln offered Jaggers the job. Probably be announced friday.
#38
Such a shame that Rogers never got an interview. I don't blame them for not wanting to work in the weight room for a program that doesn't want them it seems, but every step you get behind in the off-season is a step behind you'll be in the season. Is Josh Jaggers that much better of a coach than the other guys? I'm asking because I truly don't know.

not a fan of shutting the weight room down .. yes i understand the hostility towards the school admin .. but who fails when you shut down the weight room .. ? admin or kids .. ?

I guess let the administration go open the weight room and lead the workouts until they hire a coach

From what is circulating about this, I understand that the weight room was closed during school hours. I think this is due to only one coach continuing to run the weight room, that coach teaches all day and isn't able to be in the weight room during school hour so he will be offering it after school.

This is correct. Rogers has stopped running the weight program during their lifting class and after-school. Cooper is a teacher, but is now running the weight program after school. I think Rogers is making decisions for his future and his family, and that is understandable. As far as I'm aware, neither have been interviewed. Rogers is moving on it appears. It's a shame this happened to those coaches and to the players left over. Unfortunate.

Transfer portal officially open in Lincoln County. Coach Crutchfield, Coach Haddix, Coach Foley, Coach Hines- “Happy Hunting”. With all the new fields and facilities going up in the area, I don’t think Lincoln’s new sign at the entrance can compete. ?

You let the basketball floor get a scratch on it and watch the refinishing start.

It's whatever Jackson wants. You tell that he got his son the head coaching job on the girls basketball team. Look at their record.
#45
This is awful quite. Anybody heard anything?
#46
Jaggers expected to take the job tomorrow unless he completely bails on another job right before he’s announced which has happened before…
#47
Ouch

Any news???

Supposedly Lincoln is waiting on a confirmation from Jaggers...any chance he has applied at Mercer and is waiting to her from them before giving lincoln an answer? Just a thought.

Jaggers must really be a heck of a football coach.

He has a losing record as a coach, and rumor has it his current program wishes to go in a different direction for the 2nd time. Like I mentioned earlier the 3 people on Lincoln’s hiring committee ( lol yes they chose to make this hire with the opinion of 3 people) are either buddies with josh or his family. Also, I’m not sure these people could tell you the difference between a football or basketball if they were sitting in front of them. It’s a sad day for the Lincoln County Football Program. The dragging out could mean he is bailing though, which is the one last hope of about 90% of the community. Coach’s Greer, Buckner, Guffey should all be stoked though because they will add a cupcake to district play if he is the hire.

I don't have any idea other than his name has been associated with recent openings. You can be a heck or a coach or not a very good one and still apply.

LaRue has the QB that UK and Ole Miss have offered. Interesting that he would leave that kid.

Rumor is that the QB may not be at LaRue much longer...just a rumor though.

If kids would get off the couch and put the controllers down lincoln could have a top 4 team every year. Parent use a game or phone for a baby sitter in today's world.
