Just to keep in mind the Bulldogs ran for over 300 yards last season. West ran for 192 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries. Blankenship had 70 yards. Both of these studs are back this season. West is the real deal. He ran for over 1,600 yards as a junior with 26 touchdowns. I’m excited to see how he plays this year. Ready for Friday!

He’s a nice back. I just think LC is going to struggle. Their athleticism is limited and they’ve appeared to shy away from physical play the last few seasons. Which, BTW is so far removed from typical LC squads.

Raceland and Lawrence County's coaches and players respect each other and enjoy the hard hitting rivalry. I realize this site is more "entertaining" with arguments but I prefer the nicer and football based posts. Just my opinion.

It’s pretty obvious. I’ve followed this group for the past 4 years. I’ve watched them play numerous games against different opponents.

Simply stated, they’re not physical. They didn’t like physical play in middle school and they don’t like it now. They routinely get outworked at the LOS by smaller teams. They play high. Poor pad level. Sure sign of shyness at point of attack. West is the exception. He’s a hard runner. Nice back. Just my assessment
