Highlands vs South Oldham
#1
Who wins???
#2
Highlands by 7. Then Cov Cath.
#3
South Oldham by 14
#4
I don’t think Highlands can stop their offense
#5
South Oldham Is playing on different level. I will take South by 20
#6
I saw a very weak OC team last night, a team that SO only beat 16-6. What makes you think they can beat HHS by 20 when HHS dominated OC?
#7
HHS started a new QB against OC, one who many have said all year should be the starter. He definitely opened up the passing game down field more. HHS had way too many self inflicted mistakes in second half that prevented running clock. If they play like they did first half they beat SO comfortably.
#8
The winner of this game is rewarded by a beat down by COV Cath!
#9
South Oldham by3
#10
The South vs OC game is a 5 mile rivalry. OC stepped up in that game to hold them to 16 points, which was lowest points for South in a winning game, only lose was to CAL.

If you want to compare games, why not compare Boone County game? South beat Boone 51-0, Highland beat Boone 36-12.

South is averaging 41.5 points a game, Highland is 29.8. South has allowed 74 points total all year (7.4 per game), Highland has allowed 324 (29.45 points per game)

I hope it’s a good game but still sticking to 20 points.
#11
In Highlands defense. They’ve had some injuries. They are back now. They started a new QB against Oldham County. He probably should have started day 1. But I do agree. I think South offense will be too much for Highlands average defense
#12
South Oldham by score of 31-28
#13
Birds by 14. Never count highlands out.
#14
This game down to the wire!! But at the end SO 35-28
#15
If HHS does win. Do you count them out against Cov Cath???,
#16
Highlands season ends
Least They did better then
Ryle
#17
Should we start a post on Ryle. Highlands did better than Dayton too.
#18
South Oldham 35
Highlands 21

You do know the entire D secondary and several D linemen , top offensive threat at WR and RB were all out for Boone game. They are all back now except one linemen I believe. And game was played in down pour on a bad field You do realize HHS played a tougher schedule. Are you saying that OC did not get up for a playoff game against Highlands?
HHS completely stopped THEMSELVES on three scores in second half. Easily should have been 54-7. I am going to watch a replay of SO, but at this point just do not see HHS losing unless they self destruct which they have at times.
Who ever wins will be blasted by COV Cath.

You are right, a lot of players rested last two regular season games.
New QB completely opened up the down field game, but will he start the SO game?
They will give up scores and can not afford to self destruct in red zone like they did second half.

And you base this on what? HHS dominated OC, a team I watched give SO all the wanted. Not saying SO will not win, but seems way out there to say they are going to blow out HHS like several are saying.
I see SO able to run the ball against HHS, but they appear pretty one dimensional to me, not impressed with passing game. I can see HHS adjusting D to make enough stops to out score them. On offense I think HHS has big advantage in the passing game, SO D backfield will struggle to keep up w/Vennamen, he could have a big night. I also see HHS having advantage in the kicking game.
I understand people picking SO to win, but have hard time understanding the blow out predictions. This is not the Highlands team of past, but they are much better than last year, especially if bodies are healthy. And with the exception of CCH and BG, they can hang with or beat anybody else in 5A.
#24
Anyone else in 5A? Not sure about that one

There may be one or two other teams on west side that might give them troubles, but for most part very weak top to bottom except for CCH and BG.
Have you seen SO play? You agree they are going to beat HHS by 20+ points? They might beat HHS, I am not a huge fan of their coach and decisions he makes, but I do not see them blowing them out of the water. In fact I would not be surprised if HHS won by 21, all though I would not put money on it.
#26
I never said any point spread. That’s others talking in here. I don’t think either defense can stop the other. I expect a high scoring affair. But SO winning. You said Cov Cath and BG. Now you possibly want to add a couple more teams.
#27
Highlands wins this game if Cramer plays QB.
#28
Then he better put 35 points on the scoreboard

Serious question, have you seen Highlands play at all this year? If so, against who may I ask.

Good chance of seeing a high scoring affair, I agree. I just think if OC can stop SO, HHS will be able to also. I take it back, I still will go with cch and BG. It's so watered down with six classes. Just hard to have a lot of confidence in this HHS coaching staff.
