Open Job: Magoffin County
#1
Robbie Russell has resigned from Magoffin County.

Russell led his team to the 15th region tournament two times ('16 & '17) in his five seasons with the Hornets.

Good luck to coach Russell, a good coach and even better guy.

The principle should have talked him into staying done a great job . And he put up with crazy parents , let's see how the program dies the next couple of years .

I see Magoffin taking a step back next year. They have lost a lot of senior talent off the team (Russell, Lovely, Peters) and now they lose a solid coach. Definite rebuilding year for the Hornets. One thing they do have going for them is a beautiful new school and a really nice basketball gymnasium.

Nice gym! That's all they have going for them next year.

Job has been filled by Scott Castle. He was the girls coach the year before last.

He is a good hire! Most experience of all that applied. I think he will have the same issue Russell was having his daughter plays college ball at Pikeville.

It's not an issue that his daughter plays college ball. There is no problem with this hire.

Horney dad who cares what you think . I guess what you are saying is he dont want to watch his girl play college ball .

Why so touchy! I know when it comes down to him being at practice or watching his child play a home game where he will be. Which would you choose, dad?

That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying there won't be an issue if he goes to watch his daughter play. And it's hornet dad you jerk.

Take it in the right context, it won't be an issue if he goes to watch her. We will work around that.

Him and his staff will work around it. I figure you will be sitting in the stands coaching, dad.
