This isn't UK basketball. 1 Title and big time BCS bowl wins, a couple of west championships, etc. would be sufficient enough to do me a lifetime watching UK.

The thing about this is just what you said. LSU only has 2 national titles in 50 years, so I'm not sure what makes them think they are that special. Saban and Miles have put LSU where they are now. If they send Miles packing, look for them to drop to the very bottom of the SEC west. Their fans think getting rid of Miles will put LSU at the top but sometimes it just backfires. Right now they are competitive every game, I would love being competitive week in and week out. Better keep what they got.

Miles is overrated as a coach. Go back and look at all the gaffes he has made as a coach. He has had superior talent at LSU. Barnhardt was voted AD of the year. Give Stoops the 3 years it takes to build something. If next year, the same goofs occur get rid of him.

103-29 in the toughest conference in football is NOT overrated by any means. But he has declined in the last few years due to not recruiting a good QB.

After this absolutely pathetic display of football coaching today, I will no longer watch any UK football games until Stoops is gone and a good hire is made. There is no sense in listening to the non sense that is Stoops. UK could have blown this game open but once again Petrino absolutely embarrassed the hell out of him. Heres an ideal, lets go up 21-0, be a freaking thug ass retard and throw the ball in the stands so Lville can get a short field and get back into it.

That's sad to show how sad it is that were paying a guy to coach a football team that cant outcoach Petrino.

The only way UK gets over the hump is to spend the money. If they don't want to spend the money, then they better be ready for empty seats.

They are spending money. Look at the re-model they done to Commonwealth Stadium and look at the facilities they are building right beside Commonwealth. Lots of construction going on over there..not to mention that in ways to spend money, you have to have money...UK is a big school and should have money but if I'm not mistaken, they got grants to re-do Commonwealth Stadium

Make no mistake I would take Petrino over Stoops in a heart beat.
And UK is spending the kind of money it takes to be competitive in Conference USA. Until they are willing to spend the big bucks like they do on Cal to get a coach in, its not going to change. The fact that a lot of our fans think Rich Brooks was the second coming of Bear Bryant says it all. Dude didn't even win the SEC East once and most think he was successful lol.

I can promise you that if Stoops is fired he won't be replaced with a coach the caliber of Mark Richt or Les Miles. You'd probably be lucky to get someone like Doc Holliday, but it would more than likely be another unproven offensive or defensive coordinator and in three years time we would probably see another thread similar to this.

This is just my opinion and it may not mean a thing to anyone else and it may not make a lick of sense. But I don't seen Kentucky ever having a big name coach such as Les Miles, Nick Saben, etc simply because they know they'll be in the shadow of the basketball team.
