What a shame that all the stuff that went on after the game took away from a great championship game between two outstanding high school basketball teams. I have no clue as to what went with the post game handshake but I did see a JC Assistant coach grab the game ball from SCHS athletic director Robin Newsome and take off . If it had not been for another JC assistant getting the ball back and giving it to Newsome, who was just doing her job as AD, coach Smith may not have gotten the ball at all. its always been that the winning coach gets the game ball and that the trophy presentation would come after one net is cut down. That was the way it went after the girls championship the night before and it was wrong to ask for the lights to be turned out while Sc fans had their chance to get their photos, that was disrespectful and it took away from a night of great, hard fought basketball by two outstanding teams.

I just watched the video of the end and after the game. I don't know what kind of crock you are trying to tell and why. Sore loser. The JC bald headed guy in black ran up and took the game ball as soon as it was over. Our athletic director went up to the ref and scorer table to tell them to get it back. As far as Frankie goes he stood and watched the players shake hands in mid court.
Stop pumping lies on a high school sports site because you can't handle a loss.

What is really,really funny SC and their Fans Suck On JC and those Fans all Year. It is getting down to the Good Stuff now. They will turn on you I'm tellin ya! Also I want to mention remember a few days ago. I was telling everyone what Bob would do! Ole Bobby Boy seems to be MIA. To predictable I will go ahead and tell you his next move. He will come back for The Regional. JC will win it as they are still the favorite. Only to have them lose the 1st Rd. of The Sweet 16. Bob will fall off the map until he sees how JC will do in Baseball. Which they will do well they always do. Bob will wait though until they beat someone notable before coming out of his closet. My pick in the 15th in Baseball has to be Paintsville. So may not be until Football Season we see Bobby Seger! Mark it down and watch it is hilarious! It's a shame that grown adults are getting on this forum acting this way. Sheldon Clark had an amazing win last night. Let the kids enjoy it. Did things happen last night after the game that shouldn't have? Absolutely...but by both teams. What happened is over and done. Congrats to SC..... They made shots when they needed to.
JC missed some FREE THROWS late in the game that could have sealed it up.


And yes... there was some SERIOUS DRAMA after the game.
I am not going to post what exactly happened.

This should make for a great 15th Region title game.

Police had to remove one (that I seen) of the SC coaching staff as well as some SC and JC fans from the gym after the game was over. Some of SC's parents (not students, but parents) came over behind JC's bench and had to be removed.

Several police officers were posted on the floor to keep fans and players from interacting.

The drama started after the game.... it appeared to happen during the post-game handshake. SC fans rushed the floor, once the fans cleared the court, that's when everybody noticed there was some drama going on.



Some people can't handle loosing.... Some people can't handle winning.

Not taking anything away from the boys last night because they played great. But the fans from SCHS act that way on every sport and spew nothing but negativity about other schools but especially JCHS. It's all just jealousy. They know JCHS is the king of Athletics and academics in the region.

If this isn't true ask SCHS why they won't play JCHS in football lol.

From all I know about Coach Mckenzie, he has always personified class in every facet of his life professionally and personally. One can safely make the assumption that it took a rather serious infraction upon his standards for him to lose his cool.

I was lucky to be at this game! The best two teams in the 15th Region going at each other! Look for these two to meet again in the finals! Great job by both teams! It is what 15th Region Basketball is all about!

I do not post on here very often. I was at the game the other night and have a few observations. Number one congrats to SC, they played a great game deserved to win this game.

The other thing is from watching games in this region for many years I have noticed that each school's fans base develop a certain tradition and behavior. SC has that certain tradition and behavior and has every right to do so, it is who you are. I do think the results of that "behavior and tradition" will backfire on you at region. Your "tradition and behavior" has already got JC fired up! JC will make the final region game, and if SC can fight their way back through several tough teams to get to the final game, you will see a much different JC team.

Enjoy the District Championship, you earned it. We will save you a seat at Rupp and you can see how your "tradition and behavior" helped JC back to Rupp.
