Cordia regular season ban lifted
#1
Coming down today - I'll post as soon as it's official.

My guy at the meeting said it started out looking bad for the Lions but it's starting to drag out and look a little better.

We should know today.

Not looking good lion pride.

However, if getting to play basketball of some capacity next season was the goal they may luck out.

Looks like they ARE playing
#11
they will 100% play this year. No matter what happens they will play. If they don't give Cordia post season action then Cordia will take it to State Court.
#12
What their season will consist of is now being discussed.

KHSAA has lifted reg season ban
#14
This proves khsaa has no control of what happens. They will also play post season as well if they push it.

Looks like postseason is out of the question.

Ban has NOT been lifted yet - unless I'm getting stuff from Tanner on delay

NVM - just got it lol

KHSAA Control Board votes to lift 2014-15 regular season ban on Cordia boys basketball program. Lions still banned from postseason for 2 yrs
#20
They get to play 15 games!
#21
I think this is a pretty fair compromise.
#22
I think this buys them enough time to get an injunction in time for District.
#23
My message to the KHSAA member coaches, enforce the first ruling DON'T SCHEDULE CORDIA!
#24
Zaga -- I'm not being condescending at all, I promise. Do you think they deserve no form of punishment? What do you think fits here? I fully believe the initial punishment was too harsh but am 100% behind the two year postseason ban.
#25
Dang, I was hoping Cordia would get to play in the postseason. Rod can't beat anyone in the postseason anyways.
#26
Oh and FYI, All "A" is not an KHSAA event. So my guess is Cordia will be playing in All "A".
#27
Is that 15 games in kentucky. If it is that, they can play 20 games out of the state. Or is it just 15 games all seasons.

I wasn't saying that they should play or shouldn't play - I'm just stating what I believe are facts.

This ruling allows Rodrick to tell these kids that they are going to play basketball, keep them at Lotts Creek and get their legal stuff together to fight for the postseason.

I may be wrong, but I'm telling you that from what Alice has said they are going to fight this thing.

How tough can they be as contenders with only a 15-game schedule? And like someone mentioned above, how likely are people to schedule Cordia given all this drama?
