The 15th Region coaches have picked the top 10 teams and top 10 players as we head into the 2014-15 season. The Johnson Central Golden Eagles were once again picked to win the 15th region which would be the Eagles 4th straight 15th region title. Johnson Central also has the pre-seasson's #1 player in senior forward Kyle Gullet. A pair of Sheldon Clark Cardinals finished 2 and 3 in the player rankings in senior guard Chase Parsley and junior forward Dylan James.

The lists looks pretty solid to me. There a couple kids you could def argue that should have made like Huffman and the guard from pikeville or the 2 wing players from magoffin. But there can only be 10. James is a sophomore from Sheldon Clark.

I like Trimble he's got a nice skill set. Long and athletic point gaurd who can get up the floor and finish.

Sorry no way you can tell me Luke Trimble is one of the top ten players in the region. I can name 10 players that are better . Good kid that don't have nothing to do with it. Huffman is a nice player. and we will see how good James is next year when Parsley is gone. Parsley and Gullet best two players in the region. Russell , Bolen ,Frazier ,Huffman,Daniels.

Andrew Newsome is easily top 5 in the region. Pike county player of the year last year. He's also about to break the record for rebounds at Shelby valley, which is very impressive if you look at the players who have come through there.

I only see 8 names you listed other than Trimble...

Prestonsburg will surprise a lot of people this year. Frazier, Jarrell, and Hall are very capable of beating any team in the region. Martin, Stapleton, Isom and Ray will be other contributors. Like always the Achilles' Heel will be the bench.

theres absolutely no possible way that Andrew Newsome of Shelby Valley shouldn't be on this list. He's better than 3/4 of the kids listed and he'll prove it quickly this season.
