Where will the cordia players go?
#1
I heard a couple of them were going to perry central.
#2
Didn't they just have four players coming back on the entire roster? Most of them are from out of state. I expected them to just stay where they actually live.
#3
Wouldn't shock me at all to see them end up at Perry Central. After all, they are turning into the new Cordia. Heck, that bunch will probably try to get Rhodes some eligibility and start him at center.
#4
Hazard will get a couple and the rest is unknow, none at Perry yet Hazard is my guess.
#5
I am with u. Hazard will get one or two, perry will end up with one or two and then if any is left they will end up somewhere like knott central.
#6
I seen AJ Chisolm walking around in downtown Hazard a few days ago..
#7
Hazard has never been known to recruit right?? lol!! Johnny Cox all the way up to Chris Hudson.
#8
One is going to Sheldon Clark

You have no clue what you are talking about!!! Go ask him or his brother!!!
#10
Yeah. It's amazing how Johnny Coxs dad got a job in hazard. He was a very good high school player before he transfered and I guess that had nothing to do with the job offer.

I don't think Hazard has ever been "shut down" or suspended for a year for breaking rules

every single coach I have ever known has broke the rules. what cordia did was way off the charts. You cant just rub it in their face and expect nothing to happen. aau basketball is very similiar. some teams try and do same thing other teams are doing but don't know how to go about it. I guess you would call it legal cheating or knowing how to cheat without getting caught. lol

How if they were not eligible and were recruits at Cordia could they play anywhere else( that being the brought in players, not the actual Cordia kids)? Would the KHSAA allow this?

This is common of all sanctions of this type.

When SMU got the death penalty players were allowed to transfer.
When Penn State got hit with sanctions players were allowed to transfer.

It is how you punish the school/administration without punishing the kids.

Johnny cox Dad got a job at the Railroad L and N thats not recruiting
#18
Back in the day the Railroad was one way to t=get the kids to Hazard good jobs for their parents

Like Toyota in Georgetown, KY for Scott County.
#20
Anyone else see the irony in the fact that the KHSAA has now opened the doors for the Cordia kids to be recruited all over again?
#21
School has begun. Are the Cordia kids (Keita, Chisolm, and Chapman) still enrolled at Cordia or have they taken advantage of their free pass and enrolled in one of the premier dynasties in eastern Kentucky? I'm not sure what they would be waiting on except for time to pass them by and not get a chance to play this coming season.
#22
I'm hearing from several coaches in the 14th region that Chapman may not be eligible anywhere he goes because he was never ruled eligible by KHSAA. People also need to remember that Keita is a upcoming freshman so he would be ruled eligible anyways.
#23
If I'm Keita or Chisolm, Knott would be my destination. If you add those two players, then you have the depth, size, and experience to make a serious run in the state tournament. They could be scary good.....

Knott County would be a smart move for any player looking to move on and win. In my personal opinion tho I could see Keita going to Perry and Chisolm at Hazard. Combs and Cornet both are already at Knott.
What if Keita, Chapman, and Chisolm all went to JBS?
#25
Im sure those kids will go where they can get eligible the quickest
#26
All three are still at Cordia.
#27
The cordia kids are not going anywhere they are staying at cordia. They have got 4 new players enrolled already. Everyone on here should realize by now this thing is a long way from being over. I will guarantee cordia will play ball this year if anyone doubts me put your money where your mout is. The funny thing about this is everyone is saying cordia is guilty of these violations. This is still America I think you are innocent until proven guilty not the other way around. The khsaa has made these allegations and convicted cordia of these violations and have not even given them the right to due process. This is a violation of the constitution of the United States of Americe. Why is everyone so afraid of the khsaa they are not the supreme authority. You shoul have learned that in the past 2 years. If I am guessing they are getting ready for lesson # 3. I may be wrong but I think they get the majority of these trumped up charges overturned. Only time will tell

You might be right Cordia might play ball this year but it will not be against KHSAA member schools, in KHSAA events, or with KHSAA refs.
Again I say tho, let them play, they haven't won anything anyways.
#29
Who else could they play against? Out of state? Is there any schools in KY that isn't apart of the khsaa?

My Priorities are:
1)God
2)Family
3)Cougar Athletics!

Everything else doesn't matter![/COLOR]

If the khsaa goes so far as to give a school the death penalty then they are guilty. I know for a fact that cordia is guilty so why does everybody from cordia try to deny it. Open your eyes. They have signed affidavits from a few people. The khsaa isn't going to lower this kind of boom without really good evidence. And I agree with uk#24, cordia might play basketball this year but not against khsaa schools. And I don't think everyone realizes that all sports have to leave the khsaa not just basketball, every sport at cordia couldn't play khsaa competition.
