Shelby Valley @ Pikeville 2/7/06

What are your thoughs on this HUGE district game? Shelby Valley won the first meeting at Shelby Valley by 15. But the Panters are coming off two wins over East Ridge and Phelps.

If the Panthers win this game will they be in 1st place in the district? If so this would give them a matchup with David in the 1st round of the district tournament which would be huge. Regardless I am very proud of this Pikeville team. They have been much better than a lot of people, including me, thought they would be. Props to Coach Williams and his staff and good luck the rest of the season.

Yes, if they can beat SV here at home, then Pikeville defeats David at home also. Shelby Valley still has one more district game. They still have to play East Ridge at Shelby Valley.

I am going to go out on a limb here playboy and say they will be. I am sure both schools knows how importiant this game is. Pikevilles fan support will be there. I am sure Shelby Valley will bring their blue crew with them.

You know the blue crew will be there. In the first meeting this season the blue crew was nuts. The best part was watching Pikeville players complain to the refs about the blue crew, one player actually said something to the crew.

This is a big game for both schools but I have to go with Valley in this one.

Pikeville is on a great run but from top to bottom valley is more athletic.. I think that coach booher after the jenkins game learned his leason. and i am going to say valley by 5

What does, " I have every wittness" mean?? Shouldn't that be "I have ever witnessed?? And if you think this team is that bad, you haven't been around very long. Much better than that last few Panther teams. And this team doesn't have near the talent. I'm not saying they are great, but they are much improved.

Hopefully Coach Booher has learned that his team is capable of pressing and will do so against the Panthers. Their 2-3 zone is awful.

You said the key word there, Trizo. He's winning. Air balls are not a stat. But wins are. They have 7 this year...check out the win totals over the last 3-4 years and you'll see a lot of teams worse!!

Alfus......how can you give us hell if Shelby Valley wins? Aren't they supposed to? Haven't they beaten PIkeville about 16 straight or something like that? You can't say ANYTHING if PIkeville gets beat except, "oh, well..same ole, same ole."

How can there be a double-standard here when you all are so confident in winning tonight? So if SV wins who cares? But if Pikeville wins then it's the biggest thing ever?? You guys are pretty much making it seem like you can't lose tonight so if you're going to talk trash then back it up..If you think you'll lose then why talk trash and expect to get nothing back for it?

What is it you said after the first game this year between Valley and Pikeville Alfus? Pikeville hasnt beat Valley in what, 6 years... if Pikeville does beat Valley, would it really be considered a upset with the season Valley has had to date?

I haven't read one post yet that seems over confident on Pikeville winning. Most of the posts are for SV anyway. I do believe it will be a good game and fun to watch. Good Luck to the teams!!!!!!!!!!!

im taking pikeville
they have chip although not 100% some chip is better than no chip like it was last game
i think they lost the last meet vs. valley because when chip got hert they didnt know what to do now even if chip cant go they know how to handle it
