Sure it was made for $20000 in 2005. Add an additional $5K for inflation and another $5K for additional space upgrade, etc.
So in 2013 a home can be built for $30K. Now you just have to find the volunteers to build it nicker:. Two things a really like about this project. One, this home appreciates while similar ( square footage ) single wides mobile homes depreciate.
Two, the intent is to help seniors, and provide a comfortable, affordable home. Unless we find a way to get this economy revived, many of us may find ourselves in a similar home.
I like the sun room !

I actually wouldn't mind that at all. I have always wanted to live in a studio apartment so I think this would give me that feel but the I could put it anywhere.

If it was just me and the little woman I could live with that. Less for us to take care of when we get old. Everything right at your finger tips.

I think things like this are going to become more and more common.
Im not sure about other places, but around here, there have been several people buy the little outbuilding thats made for storage, but look like a log cabin and they turn them into a house.
While people who cant afford kids conitnue to reproduce, people will struggle to afford homes as they get older without any form of family help.

I like the idea but the lack of interior bedroom and bathroom walls tells me that the architects should have spent less time debating the location of the refrigerator. It is definitely a huge improvement over the boxes and storage sheds that some people call home, but it looks like there is plenty of room for some inexpensive design improvements. But housing costs have definitely gotten out of hand and a $20,000 house like this one would be a better starting point than a cheap single wide.

I could live in it with ease and never complain. The wife on the other hand. That's a different story...LOL.

âRelax, all right? Donât try to strike everybody out. Strikeouts are boring! Besides that, theyâre fascist. Throw some ground balls â itâs more democratic.â
